Strong magnets
First time you set these on a metal surface, you will be shocked at how these magnets grip the surface. They can handle a surprising amount of weight for their size. Flexible arms are very tight and stay exactly where you want with no sag. I use them on my welding table and they are a perfect extra set of hands. Awesome product.

These Helping Hand Tools Do Just What They Should
This product is a good value, with nice quality at a nice price. The arms and clips are of study quality and this purchase even comes with an extra set of alligator clips. The fact that you can move the arms around freely is good, just make sure that the base you attach them to is sturdy. The clips hold on pretty tight and don't damage the items they are holding. It would be nice if the magnet at the base could be a removable option. The magnet is built in so be careful with items that are sensitive to them, like some electronics. Overall, very happy with this purchase!

Works great if you can locate a good metal base. Good for intermittent use.
So these are pretty maneuverable but, the magnetic bottoms require a bit more support than expected. I originally wanted to place these on a magnetic dish. That didnt suffice. I ultimately ended up using two 2.5lb weights as support. This allowed me to move the arms around while still keeping them stable. Ultimately, I feel if youre going to be doing A LOT of work with spare hands, there are better options out there. If you are someone who does one off jobs and needs something that takes up little to no space during storage, these are the arms for you.

Good tool!
Works great. Sticks good to a metal base for a microscope. The only issue is there thumbscrews come loose a lot. If this continues, we'll have to use some loctite.

Magnetics work great, neck positioning is limited.
The magnets work great, was able to place it in a horizontal orientation and magnet held fine with weight. I found the connecting the clamps left something to be desired - could definitely be stronger. The biggest issue for me is the neck positioning. The neck is flexible, but holding a precise position was VERY difficult. The arms sag or want to flex back and settle into a position that was more natural to its form. To be fair, I am using it for a more custom purpose where precision is key; if your intended purpose is holding small items for soldering these will do the job.

Works great.
The hands come in handy for holding wires to my soldering cups while performing soldering operations. I trimmed a tiny piece off of the shrink tubing so that way when the hands hold the wire, a small portion of the metal can touch the wire. This helps act as a heat sink while soldering so I don't accidentally allow the heat to travel down the wire and shrink the heat shrink before the soldering is complete. Overall the magnets are fines. I think this was designed to hold simple basic things to assist you when you need an extra pair of hands. It is not designed to act as a "mount" of any sort so please don't use this to support your cameras or anything that is bigger than say a small circuit board or other trinket that you are working on. Also, it holds more weight if you are using a more dense type of ferrous metal. With the alloys coming out nowadays, it's hard to get an idea of how strong anything will stick to them. Cast iron works great as well as solid steel. Hope this helps.

Great product!
These "helping hands" are very useful in the shop since the magnet is extra strong to secure the base and the clip end can be rotated to get precise positioning.

Je les utilise pour de la macro et ça me convient très bien. A voir si leur bonne souplesse et rigidité dureront dans le temps . . .

The pictures with this advertisement suggest you get a baseplate, 2short arms, 2 long arms, and four short magnets. Even the text suggests that, except for 1 sentence which is easilly overlooked. What you actually recieve are 1 short and 1 long arm and a spare gator clip. This is not worth 19 euro's, probably not even 2 Euro's. This is simple theft. Amazon should take immediate action against this reseller.

If you are a hobbyist, like me, you'll find these really useful. The magnets strength are just about right and the grips are spot on. strong enough for gripping but not too much so that you'll damage what you're holding
