I must first mention it’s built pretty solid and can see having this for long term use, the only downside is that it melts rather quickly, lasting probably less than four hours. By two hours more than half was already liquid, and the drinks were already cold when I put them in. It did keep my drinks ice cold until I got my cooler to the fridge though so that was certainly a win however I’ve had ice packs last for six hours and still be 80% frozen. Those are far too large though and cost $20 each. For my needs it works perfectly. I don’t have enough room in my cooler for the 4x6 ice packs. Very compact and stays cold even when it becomes fluid

These long and narrow squared off Tour It ice packs work great as they can be grouped together or distributed into nooks and crannies so they tilt, lay flat and so on. This size works well for my small and medium insulated bags and ice chests, and one can even fit tilted in a regular brown lunch bag. I think how long these stay cold depends on factors like how many are used, the weather, insulation, etc. But these are narrow and we tend to use them for transporting food to a family member’s home in hot weather, etc. I just leave these packs in the freezer to use as needed. These are filled with some type of gel or liquid (not sure which), and none in my set of 8 has leaked after many uses. These are easy to wipe clean as needed. The plastic is thick, and these ice packs look and feel really durable. I think a lot of these would be needed for a large chest if it’s all you’re using to keep food cold, so it’s better to have a mix of larger blocks or ice too. I’ll be buying a second set, and definitely recommend these ice packs. Love this product. 5 stars.

These work well, HOWEVER if you use less than 4 in a lunch box, cooler ect they will melt quickly. If you have more than 5 they stay cold much longer.

So great! Use these to keep breast milk cool in my diaper bag. We were at the Miami zoo in August and my bottles stayed cool all day. Super easy to use. Slim fit doesn’t take up lots of diaper bag space. I’ve flown with them frozen many times and never had an issue getting through security. None have broken or busted and I use them OFTEN! Definitely recommend buying

These are super thin and fit perfectly in my lunch box. They keep my food cold for my 1.5hr train commute into the office. I don't think they'd last all day but I don't need them too.

Not sure about some of the reviews! I bought these for the versatility, and due to the 5 star review about staying cold for 12 hours. My husband works 12 hour shifts, so I thought these would be great! Not so much. .... first he has an isolated zip bag that he keeps his water and lunch in which he stores in an air conditioned portal. He used all 6 ice packs and by the time eat ate lunch 7 hours into his shift the water was cool, but not cold and his food (if not being a sandwhich) would had been thrown out as it was below the "cool" threshold. Maybe we got a bad batch?? I don't know. I can say they seem extremely durable and do not leak!

I was Leary at first. But surprisingly they work great. Stay cold all day for work. I can put one in between all my drinks to spread them out and it keeps everything nice and cold all day. They are even still a little frozen when I get home after a 12 hour day.

Freeze well, stay cold over a day. Handy to poke in the gaps where gel blocks won't fit. And good for standing upright so the cold is distributed top down. Best frozen flat so gel freezes evenly.
