"knock the juice outta them" !
just tried my isdt fd-100 for the first time :) i love it ! i bought isdt fd-100 to discharge my 3s 2200mah batteries. i planned to use it in emergencies . like when i plan to fly but have to cancel do to weather or anything else . i'd be left with lots of charged packs and that's not good. fully charged packs are #1 dangerous , and other reasons like degrading the cells charging capabilities , performance , and even swelling caused by gases that form from the packs chemistry when charged and not discharged . not only good use for discharging fully charged packs but even more . use your discharger after flying to discharge that little extra voltage that's just a little to high for storage voltage and also use your discharger for breaking in and cycling a new battery ! so already 3 good uses for me . upon arrival after opening the box and unpacking , i was happy with what i was holding and looking at . you can tell quickly that it seems very well built , solid , hefty , quality , professional , and even good looking ! it's pretty small too . i used it for the first time . i charged up a new 3s 2200mah battery. i charge my 2200mah batteries at a 1amp rate charge and that takes about 1 1/2 hours . so i knew discharging at a 1amp current rate would take the same . i even thought would be a good idea to break in the unit on a low current first since new . the isdt fd-100 is very simple and easy to use . i plugged in my connector , next set to 3s setting , then 1amp rate current , and a few seconds later presto it starts discharging . after the unit gets warmed up to a certain temperature the fan will come on and blow out the heat til cool then shut off and repeat that process during the discharge . from what i found from my research online , on 6amp current rate , the fan is suppose to start immediately . the isdt fd-100 worked very well . my 2200mah battery was discharged and done in 1 1/2 hours on 1amp current rate . it left my battery at 3.818v area per cell . i'm happy with that . the time is amazing compared to what i did have to do to discharge a battery . only way i was able to discharge was either put battery in my copter and idle or use my voltage meter which has a discharge feature on it . but it can only be used several minutes and then the meter gets hot and i have to stop and wait several minutes . it took me about a day and a half to discharge 2200mah battery that way . i discharged several minutes here and there almost all day and the next half day . so i'm very happy now . i have a balanced charger but no discharge feature . most "pro" chargers have a discharge feature . but this is a "dedicated pro discharger" . it's job and only job is to discharge . it will for sure discharge better than most "pro" chargers . all rc hobbyist should own a discharger . don't risk your safety , damaging your batteries , or their performance . i look forward to using it more . happy flying and discharging ! 6-5-19 UPDATE : i charged a second battery and discharged it with the isdt fd-100 . i discharged my 3s 2200mah battery on 1amp current rate . it again took the proper time of 1 and a 1/2 hours to discharge at 1amp current dischare rate . it left my battery again at all 3 cells at around the high 3.818 v range . so i say 3.82v's is what it will do for me at 1amp current discharge rate . storage voltage range is conscidered 3.80 v - 3.85 v range . 3.82 is perfect for me ! i also saw on the add for this product , it said "note" lower current would result in more accurate battery voltage . so in order to get the best results , maybe the lower discharge current is beneficial in reaching the lowest discharge voltage right out of the box . i will soon charge another battery and this time discharge at the lowest 0.5 amp current discharge rate and let everyone know what my battery then remains at per cell after discharged by the isdt fd-100 . i'm still loving it and is a pleasure to have and use . makes me wanna charge all my batteries and discharge them ! :) just so i can use it ! but i will serve it's purpose and i'm sure will serve it well .

If you were into RC and have multiple batteries you need one of these
Pros Works amazing I sometimes charge the batteries and don’t get to use them all or get rained out and this is a great time saving Adam to help me discharge my batteries quicker. Does not have a balance port however you can choose the end voltage and it seems to be very close when it is done and then put it on my hobby grade charger to put into final balance/storage hold. Small size excellent build quality Will work with about any connector with use of easy to obtain adapters. Fan is a little loud but definitely keeps the unit nice and cool I have never had the internal temperature to get above 60 Celsius. I also use this to cycle my new Lipo batteries when I get them for a few cycles I can charge them discharge them and recharge them much quicker than before now makes my batteries hold charge and last longer. Cons The app for this unit isn’t great it works pretty well but doesn’t work great this is not a huge problem and the only thing keeping me from giving this five stars across-the-board in every category. But it is not something that would stop me from buying this unit over again. Some will say that this unit is loud and it does make quite a bit of fan noise but if you’re discharging at 25 A you have to expect some fan noise. Also some don’t like the lack of a balance port however this is not a balance charger or discharge her you still need to balance or storage charge your batteries after each use

Works great, just read the manual and update the firmware
It's a great discharger, and even though you need the app to fine tune the more advanced functionality, it's worth the price. Discharges a 4S 5000mAh lipo to storage voltage in less than 15 minutes, you can't beat that. No longer do I think about how many batteries to charge up - worst case scenario I end up having to discharge a few using this device. It is loud, but it has to be since it's got to do something with all that heat, and the fans are very powerful. I did run into a bug with the functionality. I discharge some of my batteries to 3.85V instead of the standard 3.8V for storage charges. The app lets you select the cutoff voltage, but it didn't seem to respect the 3.85V - it would always go down to 3.80. A firmware upgrade fixed this. All you have to do is plug a battery into the discharger, press a physical button on the discharger, open the app on your phone, and go to the settings page and update the firmware. It'll take a few minutes but it seems to fix some bugs within the software.

Bluetooth link issues.
Unit works great, need to read instructions carefully. In my case, neither of my 5G Samsung or Motorola phones would link with Bluetooth, I needed to use a older 4G phone to link and upgrade firmware.

Excellent Product
I have bought another of these after my experience with the first. Very simple to use and both can be controlled (individually) with a cell phone via Bluetooth which also enables more precise current settings in the low settings than the front controls which don't go lower than 5amps. This is an advantage if you are using batteries less than 5000mah. If you are using a bunch of batteries in one session as I am you will appreciate the automatic shut-off feature. They are a bit noisy but that can be reduced by a thick towel or equivalent underneath. Amazon seems to think this is a "toy", its not.

outdated app, therefore useless gadget!!
The manual discharge process unalterably stops at a voltage of 3.7 V/cell (> 80% charge level). Discharging down to 3.5 V/cell (< 30%, required for shipping) apparently works only through the ISD Go app. However, the app hasn't been updated in a while, and therefore, it is simply not available for newer Android versions - at least not for newer Pixel phones. And BTW: The two ultra-cheap control buttons only respond randomly, indeed. Useless item!!

Just what I needed. Works flawlessly to discharge my batteries if I need to bring them to storage charge due to not being able to use them after I’ve charged them to 100%.

I use this to discharge my LiPo Polymer batteries. And I have some very large ones. You can set the discharge rate in amps and also the final voltage. Use it to discharge many batteries of the same charge on a multi balance board too. I now have 4 or them.

Great little unit. It discharges fast. Not much to say. It is on the loud side tho

This storage discharging unit works great! It’s super fast and has a nice phone app that helps you monitor and setup up your discharge. It’s very important to storage charge you Lipo packs at the end of the day of use and for the end of the season! This unit will discharge your lipo down to 3.8 volts per cell in a matter of minutes instead of hours, that a typical lipo charger discharged will do. The fan is loud and the only drawback to this unit. I set mine on a mouse pad and that helps to quite it down some.

I am a fpv pilot, but I also live in a place where the weather changes dramatically on a dime. This saves my butt whenever I have a bunch of batteries charged and a rogue storm appears. If I can't fly by the next day, this makes short work of returning my expensive and possibly dangerous lipos to storage charge. Highly recommend.
