Awesome Show!! One to watch over and over
I love this series and hope with Covid, we will still get a season 3. I love how this show is funny and light one minute and then pulls you in the reality of how serious life and being an office can be. An intense drama to be sure but enough light and funny moments to make it really enjoyable. I love anything Nathan Fillion does and this series does not disappoint at all! Whole cast is awesome!! Each person who leaves is a real loss but each person who is added just make the show better and better. If you want something really awesome, check this one out. DVD quality is great and arrived fast without any problems at all.

Like this series more than I thought I would.
Ok give I hate Nathan fillion after meeting him I had no intention on watching this series. But caught a episode late one night and actually liked it. Not because of him but the rest of the cast is stellar. The stories are good and it’s very enjoyable even if it is fictional

Surprisingly engaging
Hate most cop shows -except Monk- and had little hope for this one. The main actor, Nathan Dillion, does a terrific job in this reprieve of his role in Firefly now as an older man, trading his space craft for a LAPD 'shop" -"don't call it a car Boot!." I have seen this now twice. Make cops it human instead of a Compton shooting gallery for psychopaths in blue, which seem to grace the screen with their arrogance and false bravado in so many other shows.

Great Show, Basic DVD Set
My wife and I love The Rookie. It's a pretty typical procedural police drama, but there's quite a bit of character development and the characters are all relatable and likable. I feel invested in all the characters and the mix of cop drama and humor is perfect in my opinion. The DVD set is pretty basic, no extras but does have English Subtitles, which is a must for us.

Better pace yourself... Show is 5 Stars! -1 star for poor packaging!
Show is great! Nathan's humor carries over from Firefly and Castle! He truly gets better in every show he's in. Already renewed for season 6. * But, when will something other than season 1 be released in the USA? *** My only complaint was with the DVD package... Paper insert was wet at one point and the holder for the individual disks were broken! Disks were slightly scratched, but seemed to play okay.

The Rookie on DVD
My grandkids and I love watching the Rookie together. It is safe language and is not too graphic with the crime scenes. But my internet is not great so I buy the dvds. I purchased season 1 when it came out but still no sign of seasons 2, 3 or 4. Season 5 is now available. What about the others? Thank you

Fun and Engaging
I watched Castle when it was on and watched the first episode of The Rookie to see what it would be like. The character has the same moments of making mistakes that made me smile, but he also had his successes. I watched all the episodes on the dvd, including some I'd missed. I think what I like best is that they show three rookies with three very different training officers. All of the rookies make believable mistakes. I'm sure I'll watch the series again.
