So what's the difference between the gun butter 2/3 oz and the gun butter penoiler? (besides the amount in each and price). can't one be just as good

No difference other than size. We keep the 2/3 in our home kit, and I keep the penoiler in my range bag in case I want to do a quick cleaning there. Like someone else mentioned, both of these have a real fine tip (that doesn't clog) so you can literally put a very small amount of oil exactly where you need/want it and it won't run off on you. The 2/3 bottle has lasted us forever, and we have several weapons and hit the range weekly. We've been highly impressed with this butter and is worth the price in our opinion.

I cannot get oil to come out. Is there a trick to using this?

First time I order it came leaking and was emptied then the replacement the oil won’t come out I did everything I could to my dismay. I have to return it again

Will this product fit inside the battery storage tube on a magpul ar stock?

The gun butter pen is 4-7/8" long without the plastic cap. If you're referring to the pistol grip, then no but if you have a stock with storage then maybe.

after using the needle was easy to bend, causing no butter to dispense. very dissatisfied with it. more instructions needed how to use pin

The pin is used to precisely locate a drop of gun butter, not sure why you would apply enough pressure to bend the needle applicator. You need to return the cap to the applicator after use. Gun butter is a great product.👍
