Actually a good mattress from Amazon? Nope, a great one! Made in USA
Was trapped undecided between this and some offerings at Costco. Honestly I don't make that much so even what would normally be thought of as somewhat inexpensive or affordable for a mattress took no small amount of savings. I wanted to get it right and my gosh was it agonizing to choose. Such an unreasonable and almost senseless gamble to buy a mattress online without ever testing it in person especially a mattress in a box, typically mass made in china and drop shipped by some third party company that charges multiple times it's actual cost, you know what I mean. Now I typically take careful consideration of negative reviews especially in issues that are consistently reported and for that reason, despite all the stellar reviews on other websites, every mattress within budget had a repetition of negative issues. This mattress seemed the most consistently well reviewed across several websites, and all things considered I was willing to go quite a bit more over budget for something so vital as a mattress. With all that out the way I'll say it now, this mattress has been so much better than I could have hoped for. It's soft, very soft, mostly dues to the extra thick topper but with the support of an actual coil frame. I personally cannot stand foam mattresses, and all the nice spring or hybrid mattresses where just too much. Then again my main concern with hybrid mattresses are the hazardous materials used in manufacturing. They check all the boxes for flame resistance and what have you but the toxicity was not something I wanted to risk. Imagine having to de-gas your mattress and even then the materials aren't going to decide to not be carcinogenic just because you sleep with them. It's isn't verifiable what these offshore manufacturers are using but this mattress is made in the US. I did spent quite a bit of time researching into it's safety and manufacturing and since this is too much already for a simple review, I'll end this by saying: this mattress is sooo comfortable, well made, and safely made. (Just don't jump on it like a fool and complain the support gives out or pile drive the thing with all 400 something pounds of yourself after a long day and then go on amazon to complain when the knit cover starts to inevitably tear. It's still a product that needs to be taken care of just as everything else).

Very comfortable, high quality, recommended
I'll admit to having been skeptical about purchasing a mattress in a box. The reviews for the most popular ones were all over the place, adding to my doubt. When I bumped up the price range I was looking for and decided to focus on established brands, this Sealy stood out from the rest. I took the plunge and ordered it. It arrived 4 days earlier than estimated. I set it up early the next morning before going to work to give it time to expand. Set up was simple, the hardest part was getting a 60 pound box up the stairs and my old mattress out of the way. As I got to the end of the shrink wrap, the mattress began uncoiling, slowly enough that I had enough time to position it atop my existing box spring. There was no odor, as some reviews on some products mention. It assumed full shape pretty quickly and was ready for sheets, etc. when I got home from work. I slept on it that night. It's very comfortable, I toss and turn a whole lot less than I used to do, my sleep quality is definitely improved! The memory foam conforms to me while being neither too soft nor too firm. The springs underneath provide good support for the whole thing. I'm very pleased with it. I used my existing bed frame and box spring, which went against the recommendations but I have three metal cross bars on the frame each with a support in the middle and they all attach to the wooden side rails that slot into the head and foot boards with metal supports. If you have a sturdy bed frame, you'll be OK. You will need a box spring if you do not have a platform bed frame. With all that, the mattress does weigh 60 pounds so make sure you can accomodate that weight. Final comment, sitting on the edge of this mattress is no different from doing so on a regular mattress, it's plenty firm enough, the memory foam and coil springs support my 250 pounds just fine.

Ahhhhmazing!!!
I adore my new mattress! This has saved my back and neck/shoulders a huge amount of pain and improved the quality of my sleep 10-fold. I highly recommend this mattress for anyone with Fibromyalgia. It feels a little bit firmer than I really like (my rationalefor 4 stars in comfort), but when you wake up every day feeling good compared to never refreshed and never not achy, it gets an actual 4.5 stars for comfort. You cannot knock this mattress!!!

Amazing mattress!
I love this mattress, my prior mattress was an expensive “Vera Wang” king size pillow top mattress and it cost me an arm and a leg. I bought the “queen 12 inch” version of this mattress when it was on sale for 40 percent off under 500$ and I was skeptical but had read good reviews from other customers and they weren’t lying. This bed is incredibly support and I am a plus size woman, it’s supportive but comfortable all around. Supports me and my pets and needs perfectly. No odd or off smells when arriving. It said to wait 24-48 hours but practically came risen out the seal and put on my frame within hours was ready. I love this mattress and the material, I am not hot when I sleep on it either, my back hurts no longer and I sleep soundly. I also have a larger chest and love to sleep on my stomach but my old mattress did not allow this. I was having shoulder pain as well, it’s way improved and I can sleep in all positions. I love it!!! I would recommend! I know the picture doesn’t do the mattress justice but still shared, you won’t regret it.

Mattress is great! Beware of Amazon and UPS delivery.
The mattress is exactly what I needed for my spine and hips. Comfortable. Great support but not to firm. I haven't had any aches or pain when I wake up. Perfect night sleep. However, I had much difficulty getting it delivered. I had a tracking number given to me by Amazon. It did not get here on date expected. I called UPS, and after 5 days they had never received the mattress. The problem really began because I had given my old mattress away. Now I had nothing to sleep on. Amazon customer service told me to wait 2 more days. Well, I have cancer of the bone and had to sleep on the floor. After 2 days, it had not arrived. UPS said they still had no mattress from Amazon. Customer Service from Amazon said they guaranteed delivery in 2 days. Two days passed. No mattress. I ended up spending $570 for 7 days in a motel because the pain front cancer of the bone was too great to sleep on floor. Finally, UPS received the mattress at the warehouse on Friday afternoon. 1.6 miles from my house. They would not let me pick it up. They had orders from Amazon to only deliver. UPS finally delivered it 3 days later. Amazon customer representatives promised me so much, including some credit which I have seen 3 weeks later, nor even a response from them. The mattress is great. Best mattress I've even owned. But now it's hard for me to trust Amazon and UPS.

Mattress had multiple defects from the factory, or something.
I had seen a few Hybrid Bed-in-a-box Sealy mattresses at friends and family houses. Also had tried them at local retail stores, they looked and felt very nice Though no instructions came with the Sealy, I had seen videos on how to let them "expand" to size. I gave this mattress more than the recommended 3 days, but it's expansion never progressed more than it did the first day. I kept it on the floor in the most temperature controlled room in the house. Problems: 1. Mattress's (3 layer) foam top was off-centered, hung over 2" along the right side, was shy of bed edge by 2" on the left. Issue on the right made it hard getting up or using as a seat, as the edge would sink. On the left side, there was no padding for the 2" along the side, you felt the springs. 2. ALL FOUR CORNERS failed to expand to full (12") HEIGHT, all corners appeared smashed down to 10-1/2". 3. Bottom rim pads slipped off center as well, no issue really, just looked like a bad assembly job. 4. Head and foot of mattress measured 10-1/2", not full 12". We could no longer sit up in our bed to read, as the mattress was too low for headboard curves. 5. Hump across the middle of bed from side-to-side was 13". So, in effect our heads and feet were below our middle sections when laying on bed. We both began to experience vertigo issues soon after rising from bed in the a.m. This wasn't going to work. I tried getting "CallBack" help at Amazon via the RETURN page. Tried 5 times, never did get a callback, although I got emails asking if problem was solved. (Yes or No) So then I called Sealy direct, knowing there was no way to send this back. I was told they do not deal with Amazon sale issues. The helpful agent there, gave me a number for "Sealy Emerging Channel" to swap it out. SEC said they could do nothing for me either, said I'd have to go back to Amazon help. Days later, after not getting comfortable with the bed, I finally accepted the "chat" option at Amazon, and actually got a helpful agent. He heard my story and solved the issue with a "one-time credit". I will only have to pay for someone to dispose of it. Once again, Amazon came thru, Thank you! Here's pictures

Over a year and a half later
Don't be afraid to order this bed off Amazon. It really does show up and isn't heavy to drag inside. Two people could easily carry the box up some steps, but I was able to throw it over my shoulder and carry it in myself. Updated 1.5 years later. Medium firm is accurate. I prefer softer so I have always used memory foam pads. Bed hasn't deformed in any way and still looks and feels new. The bed was around $500. Seems like price had gone up, but still appears to be a good value. This page does advertise a 10 year warranty. The bed frame I have is like 20 individual metal slats, less than a half inch wide and 5.5 inches apart each. The mattress DOES NOT sag down into the crevices between each slat. This is a real mattress and I fully expect it to last me for many years.

Goldilocks Comfort
Not too firm. Not too soft. The springs are completely supportive. The thick top pad is cushy but doesn't trap you. It's easy to roll and move. We both prefer a firm matress with a medium 2" latex pad and yet our backs, hips, neck feel great after a sound night's sleep on this bed. I also haven't had any overheating issues like I've had before with 3" elastic memory foam/cool gel foam, etc. The frosting on top is that this is Sealy quality. The materials feel/look high quality. Even has a great zippered cover. I call this mattress a great value and am so happy that I made the right choice. Well worth a little extra money.
