This product proved unusable to me for the simple fact that the ports were 15mm and I needed to push a 19mm connection through. I cannot blame them for that, 1: they do provide a splicing port (I do not wish to cut my connectors off and splice) 2: I could have confirmed the size of the port vs connector beforehand Hopefully this review will help someone by encouraging them to double check the size of their wire+connector before ordering. However, I am going to remove a star because of the terrible screws and design for sealing the lid. The small screws are cheap metal and wallow out easily, and the hole intended to screw them into is too narrow, requiring significant force to screw them down tight (even pushing down hard, the screw heads wallow). This can be solved by using your own screws. I do appreciate the extra rubber gaskets they provided for potential different gauge wire, that was a nice touch!!

Easy to install, came with everything I needed and more. I used this as extra protection for some low voltage wire I had to extend for my automatic gate. It took 10 minutes total to install including disconnecting the existing wiring and reconnecting it inside the box. It honestly was a bit big for what I needed it for, but it gets the job done. The included screws worked with no issue.

Used this to replace my pool light without pulling a new cable so it will be submerged forever. I soldered the connections and then filled the box with a pourable silicone. Normally you have to pull the old cable (mine is 100ft) out but after 20 years it is almost impossible to break it loose and pull the new one through. The best price I found was $250 for the labor. Way easier and cheaper to use this j-box but if it fails it'll ruin a $500 light. Works great so far but just installed April 2024. I'll update this if there is any problem.

I couldn't find the sizes in the product description so I went by customer feedback. When I received the unit, it was way to small. I took measurements. Then I realized you can barely read the dimensions on the top in the picture. The outside dimensions are 5 1/4 " length X 2 3/4 " width. The length is measuring form the end of the cable screw to the other cable screw. The box itself outside dimensions are 3 " x 2 3/4 ". The inside dimensions (useful space) are 1 3/4 " x 2 5/8 ". I need interior space of 4.5 x 3.5. The unit itself looks okay - I returned it - but I didn't test for waterproof. The enclosed screw drive is standard, whereas the screws are phillips head. The screw take some effort to get in straight. The screw heads are not high quality and started deforming the first time I installed them. If these are going to be installed and forgotten, the screws are sufficient. If you are going to repeatedly open / close, you will need to get new screws.

I have a Wyze V3 camera on my back fence and needed to power it from a source more than 50 feet away. Used a 12 v power plug in a 110 V outlet and ran outdoor lighting wire to this box next to the fence. Put a 12 v DC to 5VDC converter in the box, buried it in the yard next to the fence. Ran a flat a 6 foot USB cable out of it to the camera on the fence. The box is not visible and is safely buried away from people and dogs. I live in Phoenix Arizona and the heat gets to 114 and occasionally it rains enough to flood the yard. The DC to DC converter has not over heated (probably because it's buried more than a foot in the ground) and the box has not leaked to let in any water. Recommend this box for keeping power supplies dry in outdoor environments.

I had no problems with this product. Other reviews commented about the screws stripping. They are #4 size screws, so I used a small Phillips #1 bit and got them fully inserted without stripping. I was also a bit nervous that my 12/4 underground speaker wire (19mm) wouldn't fit, but the largest ring was snug but easy to slip over the outer jacket. 4 connections with wire nuts would have been tight, but it worked great with heat shrink tubing. The supplied flat head screwdriver is wasteful since the screws are Phillips head. Supplying a #1 Phillips head screwdriver would be a better idea. Would recommend and purchase again.

I liked it size and colour - in a world where all electrical components seem too big and come in one colour (LIGHT GREY) - this small, black junction box all but disappears on my dark brown trim. It installs easily and the included gasket does seal the box from weather. I used it for one coaxial cable connection. The interior space is limited but it worked for me. So far, so good.
