Very effective with some limitations
I am not getting any benefit or purchase discount for this review and this is simply my unbiased opinion based on my experience. Think of this device as a smart level. When you are leaning forward, the device detects you as off level and alerts you with a vibration. If you are needing feedback in keeping your back straight (upright), when either sitting, standing, walking or any other upright activity, then this device is for you. However, this device like others similar devices, has some limitations. Understanding those limitations are key in getting the most out of the device: 1) This device can't detect if shoulders are rolled forward on it's own. It can only detect the angle of your back. However, poor shoulder posture usually accompanies forward lean or hunch. And even thought it's possible to have poor shoulder posture when your back is upright (which this device cannot differentiate), in practicality it will alert you when you are hunched over. And this is typically is caused from BOTH forward leaning and hunched shoulders. The key point here is to remember to keep good should posture (shoulder blades slightly squeezed together) while correcting your back when the device indicates poor posture. Knowing this limitation and shoulder posture awareness will go a long way to establishing a good posture habit. 2) Fortunately, the device can be fined tuned for a a variation of posture ranges. This boils down to how the device is calibrated. If it is too sensitive to just the slightest hunch, calibrate it with a slight hunch and that will be the new reference. If you want it to alert you within a tighter range, do the calibration with your back more upright and shoulders pulled back. I find using a full length mirror is critical in observing your back and shoulder position while calibrating the device. Then test it with the device delay set to 5 sec. Check the range of motion and determine if you are satisfied with the results. If not, re-calibrate it. Otherwise you will be frustrated with the way it alerts. Ultimately, it's up to you, what you consider the threshold for bad posture and calibrate it accordingly. 3) Again, this device acts like a smart 'vertical' level. It does not work at all if you are in a recliner or laying down. So if you have bad posture while in a recline position or sleeping, your out of luck. It's not reasonable to expect a simple device like this one to help you in all situations. But you should know what good posture feels like after wearing the device for some time and adjust your sleep position accordingly. It would preferable if such a device could detects poor shoulder posture along with sleep posture, but no wearable device currently exists and even if it did, it would be a far more complex and expensive. I still find the device very effective even with these limitations. 4) I never used the sticky tape and instead use the necklace. I don't understand all the complaints about the necklace and I suspect it has more to do with improper calibration than the necklace itself. Its easy to wear, easy to access and turn on and off the device, less fuss, and less expensive in the long run compared to buying more tape. It's the way to go, period. If you are frustrated with the tape, before you blame the device save yourself the trouble and get the necklace. IMHO, this posture device will create a better posture habit if you understand the limitations along with setting it up correctly to match your expectations. I do not rely on the app much other than calibration and delay settings, so can't comment on the other functions of the app. At the end of the day, all I care about #1 is correcting my posture habit. IF it does that, I consider this a positive purchase. Everything else secondary like tracking data is useless to me.

Love this!!!!
I love this! I did have a bit of trouble getting it to charge the first time I tried but emailed customer service who promptly emailed me back with a solution and no problems since then. It's very helpful to remind me to correct my posture, the battery charge lasts for several days. i have only used the sticky patches but find them comfortable, stay in place securely and are reusable! When I take the device off I simply place a small piece of cellophane paper on it to keep it clean and when I am ready to reapply it stays on just as easily as it first did and lasts for a long time! I have it for a couple of weeks now and still using the first patch. It doesn't leave any sticky residue on my skin either! I already feeling a difference in my posture. My biggest obstacle is when I am sitting doing paperwork or needlework I find maintaining a good posture is difficult but I am working on it! May orders the necklace in the future but right now am happy with how I am using it. By the way I turn it off when I go to bed and it stays on throughout the night!

So far so bad!
I was really excited to get this item and start improving my back health and posture right away. First thing you realize out of the box, is it comes with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable. Who uses this? Their company may find it a brilliant idea to use a charging cable that is not a major industry standard, but I do not. Between Apple and Samsung, they have 54% of market share of mobile phones. That means 54% of all chargers or Apple and Samsung as well. What is it they provide again? Emailed Martin at Upright, and he was no help at all. He sent me a link to where I can get this charger on Amazon, but it will take more than 2 weeks to get it because nobody uses this stupid connector. So, I'm already frustrated because this item only has a 10% charge in it, so I probably can't use it even for a full day. Next my girlfriend and I go through the steps to get it set up and going. We shave a little area of my back, clean it, and then re-clean the area with the alcohol wipe that they provided. Stick it on, get it calibrated and go for a walk. I'm pretty excited about this because I'm doing well and not getting buzzed for bad posture at all. I go to feel for it, and realize the crappy glue pads suck and the item fell off somewhere during my walk. I went back and found it and it had fallen off within the first five minutes of my walk. I'm lucky I found it of that would have been $80 out the window through no fault of my own. Also the Upright GO-2 just feels cheap and crappy. Made to break I would say. So far, I say 2 thumbs down way down.

It’s ok
My impression is that this is a simple device that checks how vertical you are positioned. It does not seem to be sensing the curvature of my back. The case: Case is cheaply made, the hing is not a tight fit. It can only hold 1 extra adhesive. The Adhesives: If you fall for it, that’s how they will milk you off your cash. Classic subscription model. If you enjoy the adhesive I would suggest finding alternative source that is cheaper and simply cut them out of a bigger sheet. The neckless: an alternative to the adhesive, but I’m surprised that they opted to use the USB plug as an attachment point. Privacy: The App is nice but maybe selling your sensitive personal info, additionally they may use your info to “ To assess your candidacy for a position that you applied to and to facilitate your employment application;” … just straight up weird thing to write in a privacy policy. I will update the review if it starts falling off during daily activity like some have complained.

This Thing Works!
Bought this for myself as a Christmas present after a colleague told me that someone new where we work hunched over when he talked, "just like you do." <Grimace> I've been using it everyday since Christmas 2025, and I have to tell you this really does work. It can be shocking to discover how often you slouch or relax your posture enough that you're no longer in good form. I bought the necklace attachment which is super easy to use. I never once used those little sticky pads; it settles into place with the necklace just fine. Most people don't know I even have it on: I mentioned it to a different colleague today and she was surprised, because she has seen me every day and has never noticed it. I showed her how it worked with the app and she was really interested and impressed. Anyway, I can tell that I am far more conscious now of my posture, even when I'm not wearing it. Like others, I set it to 15 seconds before it gives me that slight little vibration on my back. And when I get that vibration, it is very effective -- I correct my posture immediately. Charging is quick and easy. The only downside is that it seems to drop the signal pretty easily. Every time I open the app, it has to search and search for the device. Sometimes it doesn't find it, sometimes it takes a while. Sometimes I have to reach back and gently press the button on the device so that it sends a signal to the app. Small little frustration, but still... Anyway, I highly recommend this thing if you really are serious about improving your posture. It doesn't do it for you, but it reminds you very effectively to do so yourself. Not sure how long I will need to use it in order for my posture to naturally be better throughout the day, but it's very helpful right now.

Amazong device, Annoying app...
This device is worth every single penny. It is amazing device that helps me remind to correct my posture which really helped with my neck pain. Great invention and something that you should definitely try!!! The only reason it's not a five star it's because their app really sucks. I'm not sure if it's the same thing so to clarify I use Android app. There's a two main problem that I hate about it. 1. Once you install the app, essentially it takes over all the links for some reason. Yes I spoke to their support and it was useless. So anytime your friends send you a link for you to check out whether that is a ticket sales or event or anything it will not open this app. And no it doesn't have a browser so it will not work at all. So if you really want to click on it you have to uninstall the app to click on it and then install it again. Oh and you do have to install it because the device does lose its calibration so you sort of need to calibrate daily. Which sort of makes sense because depends on how you wear it the position will change a little bit. 2. Second problem that I hate is it has so much animation in the app. For example it has this daily goal setting which you cannot disable and every time I turn it on to calibrate I have to watch this stupid guy dance around with confetti saying daily goal achieved. I think this animation is about 5 seconds long.... So every time I want to calibrate which often is couple times of day and instead of being able to do it quickly I have to watch this stupid guy dance around for 5 seconds and wait. It is really really annoying.....

Realistic Working Mans Review
Realistic working mans review -- I'm 6'2" and have had a slouch for many years because everything in life is about 2" too low to reach comfortably with good posture. I've tried the posture correcting shoulder strap brace things and they work to remind you for about 30 minutes and then you forget they're there and slouch through them until 4 hours pass and they start to be highly uncomfortable. I am an active outdoorsman and handyman/contractor for a living so I was hesitant to try this GO that appeared to be designed for a desk jockey. I finally figured the high price (IMHO) was worth a shot. In short, it IS designed for a desk worker and has its limitations, but, it has still helped correct my posture better than any other method I've tried. Yes, it can be annoying sometimes when you're doing a task that involves frequent bending over or working under a truck or checking fittings under a sink. Easy solution! When you get annoyed, switch it to tracking and the buzzing stops. When that job is done, switch to training again and let your body continue to learn correct posture on the drive home or throughout your evening. I stick mine on right out of my morning shower almost every day and it says there completely unobtrusively all day long! I disliked the adhesive idea when ordering and thought for sure I would order the necklace upgrade, but I must say I am extremely impressed with how well the adhesives work! I am about a month into wearing it and only on my SECOND pad! I've been told I'm a rather oily person even. I use the alcohol pads on the sticky every time I take it off and it's good for another whole day. (I started using rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab which is cheaper...) There are exceptions to the whole day stick when I sweat hard in the sun. I usually leave it off when it falls off on those days, clean it, and start over the next day. Can't win them all... I think the programming and app work fantastic for what it is. You have to understand that all that this thing is is an accelerometer that measures unit angle relative to earth plumb. With that basic technology, there is obvious limitations. If you plan to be swinging a pick or cutting up trees all day long, don't even bother wearing it. It will be buzzing all day and you already know there's nothing you can do better for your posture... One thing I like is that if you slouch far enough (like tying your shoe, or lying down) it does not buzz at you. All the the angles and thresholds and timers and buzzing patterns can be configured in the easy to navigate app to tailor the experience for you. Unfortunately, I have caught myself in the habit of slouching more than I normally would when working sometimes to keep the angle below the buzzing threshold, which is not good but something to be aware of. I also have very sensitive skin (or lots of hair or something) and am very aware of anything touching me so I thought this sticker would drive me nuts. After the first 10 minutes of wearing it, I completely forgot about it! The battery lasts about 2 full days which is impressive. The included case I thought was stupid at first, but quickly realized how nice it is to keep the adhesive clean when you're charging it, or packing it along somewhere. The upshot -- The most effective slouch tool available right now Requires some attention and consideration to be effective Wear it on the weekends and days you're just around the office and leave it at home on highly physical days. Wear it a few days a week and you will surely become continually aware of your posture! Great battery Fantastic adhesive performance Highly customizable Non-obtrusive The whole goal of this product is to remind you of your lousy posture so often that being aware of your slouch is constantly on your mind, even when you take the GO off. This does that very well! Absolutely worth the price of nearly $100 I highly recommend the GO 2 to anyone!

When it works it works - but overall experience is unreliable
Simple to use and setup, when it works then it is a nice reminder and helped with posture. When it works, I found it simple and effective. However, as other reviews mention, it randomly turns off for no reason even with strong battery life. You think you've been doing great, but instead the device had just turned off. Hence, returning for a refund. Additionally, its not water proof so inconvenient to remove for bathing.
