Rubbermaid Spring Top Trash Can with Lid 13 Gallon Gray Plastic Garbage Bin for Home/Kitchen/Office/Garage

Pretty good. After all it's a trash can so I'm not expecting it to make all my dreams come true. This is replacing something similar from an off-brand. Even that one was OK. I believe it failed due to my own negligence by leaving it out in the dangerously hot Arizona sun. We're just using it as a staging place for the recyclables before they go into the city can. The one touch lid works fine and there was really nothing to assemble. It was delivered to my front porch and all together. I just had to take a few stickers off it. What this one has that the prior didn't is some wire stays to keep a trash bag secure but, I'll probably never use those. So far, I'm satisfied. Recommended. Enjoy!

Love this garbage can for my kitchen. The lid springs open when you push the latch & closes easily when pushed back down to close. Also love the metal trash holder rings that hold the garbage bag in place, defiantly would recommend this product and Rubbermaid is a great brand👍

This is a simple and compact trash bin, good size for a small kitchen or small family. It is sleek and clean-lined, not like a hamper or industrial looking one, but there are no LinerLock bag wires inside. A regular 13 gallon trash bag fits snuggly on the rim, although it does require some stretching and pulling. The trash bin came with some smudges. Need to be cleaned right out of the box. Some imperfections on the rim are sharp, but can be easily taken care of with a craft knife. The push button works just fine. No spring jumps out yet. A couple of differences between this one and the Spring Top 14.9 x 17.2 x 25.5 inches model is that this one does not have lock lid feature. The lid just sits loosely on top of the bin. Also, when the lid is in open position 1/4 of the opening is blocked and the lid sits 1 inch below the opening thus a higher chance to get trash caught on the lid by accident. Whereas the Spring Top model can open 100% without the lid blocking the opening, which is a nice feature. We bought this trash bin based on only one photo on its listing. Hope this helps! Update 3-23-2021: It's hard to believe buying a working trash bin could be so difficult. After being a bit disappointed by the Rectangle Spring Top, we bought the Spring Top. Turns out not only the new trash can arrived even dirtier than the Rectangle Spring Top, it wobbles like a tumbler toy. The all around smudges look like it's been used and returned. The finish of the plastic also look dull and cheap. We decided to stick with the Rectangle Spring Top. At least it is stable and looks a lot nicer. Hope we can return this second one with no problem. Will update about it.

As others have said the latch doesn't work to open a lid. I'm trying to figure out if it can be adjusted so that the latch actually works to open the lid. I'm sure it can be but I just haven't done it yet. Other than that it feels like a durable trash can. Holds more than I thought it would. The 13 gallon trash bags do fit kind of tight around the rim but I actually like that so they don't slide down into the trash can. Just be careful if you're going to use the 13 gallon size trash bags because when you put them around the rim you can easily rip your trash bag if you don't buy quality trash bags.

It’s your standard 13 gallon, plastic trash can. It holds up nicely, doesn’t seem to scratch too easily, holds heavy bags nicely.

Waste basket is wobbly, bulging on the bottom, really disappointing! Too much trouble to return…

I needed this garbage can so bad and I wanted to like it. But the spring lock pops up even if I am not touching it. Feels flimsy! There was no LinerLock Bag Wires included on my garbage can. That would be nice because the garbage bags barely fit around the rim. I don't think I will have this can for long and next time I will not order a spring top because it is not going to last. UPDATE: I am trying to use this can but it opens whenever it feels like it. The top is why I will be replacing it but not buying one from Amazon. Some place I can pick it out in person. Another note is that the can I was sent was not Rubbermaid. It was Sterilite.

Love this! Great solution for in-drawer trash bin that still has a lid. I like that it opens and closes easily with an elbow or wrist when your hands are full or dirty, unlike the swing top type. It's also got a great way of holding the garbage bag in place inside the bin and is easy to empty.

The garbage bags fit perfectly. It is very convenient that the top flips up when pressed gently.

Me encanta este bote, ya había tenido uno y es lo máximo. Lo mejor es la tapa y que tiene unos aros para detener la bolsa de basura. Lo compré de ese color porque su momento no encontré ni blanco ni negro, y no me encanta el tono pero es super funcional.
