Got this yesterday and tested it with Amazon music HD in various locations. Be aware the speaker needs breaking in first so don't judge for the first hour or so as the sound loosens up a lot. Coming from a JBL clip 2 which is excellent this is "obviously" fuller and louder as it is much bigger. However the clarity on the clip 2 mids and highs is just as good. Be aware the "Lite" version is the same version as the "normal" version it comes with wall plug / cable charger and the the same speaker. I had this clarified by UE. My belief is that the original Megaboom is becoming the Megaboom lite as the Megaboom 3 is out and it has upgrades i.e. the charging connection location, etc. Not the best place to put the charger on this device but there is a workaround if you get a mini camera tripod and attach to the speaker like I am planning on doing as I also want to access the aux connection without all the cables sticking out of the top. All in all for the money, I paid £70 new for Charcoal Lite it is fantastic. Forget the people that compare to a speaker 3/4 times the price. You can't go wrong with this. I've got other Logitech stuff and that is also brilliant. You will have pleasure using this product with its build quality and sound. If you are in the market don't delay. Update: Using Amazon music HD with this and sound distorts at even mid volume levels on complexed parts of a track (where a lot is going on at once plus bass). This could be a streaming issue but believe it is the speaker as happens in the same circumstances within the music be it rarely. Got this on a really good deal plus a promotion code and Amazon don't do exchanges so I'd have to spend more to replace and lose the promotion (if indeed it is a fault). I'll keep it and monitor but not too worried as in a year I could go to Logitech as it has a two year warranty and then they are responsible for the issue (retailer first year). Just thought I'd mention in case someone else has same issue. Tried with Bluetooth sync to video (sky sports mobile) and the sound is well out compared to mobile speakers. Tried everything to fix but would not. Solution was to use aux connection that the Megaboom 3 (new version) does not have. Tap, Double tap on top takes a bit of getting used to with technique but does work be it with a few problems. You wouldn't want to try to skip ten tracks using it but great to pause and play music. I actually bought two of these as I'd heard that UE speakers could be paired. In previous years I had been delighted by Bose's Soundlink Mini - one of the best sounding single speaker units ever and still providing musical pleasures to its new owner. I didn't really need to get a replacement. I gifted the Bose to my ex-girlfriend as I had bought a Marantz CD player and a pair of Q Acoustic bookshelf speakers. With Bluetooth, I could easily pipe music from my iMac or my Pioneer XDP-30R music player through my Marantz. It was pure indulgence and curiosity that made me decide to try not one but two of the UE Megabooms. Placed above each of my Q Acoustics, once I'd figured out how to use the UE mobile app to link/pair the two speakers I was off. Now Bluetooth can be notoriously unreliable and this remains an issue - every now and then the sound can be disrupted due to weak signals or wi-fi traffic but 95% of the time the connection is rock solid. The sound quality is stunning and clear. While I can push my Q Acoustics higher, I must say that I really like hearing the UE Megabooms at full throttle. It's great to look at the tiny XDP-30R and know that I can still fill my room with sounds from that little device which have depth, body and clarity. Battery power is astonishing - it was several days before I needed to recharge.

Absolutely delighted with this speaker. After downloading the app the set-up was simplicity itself- took a free minutes. Can be controlled through my iPhone or Apple Watch. The sound quality is full with a great base feel. There is also great depth to the sound making is sound like some of the range is coming from other areas of the room. Our model is black and looks great. Haven’t tested the battery life fully yet but have had a few hours performance without recharging. The Amazon price was fantastic compared to retail outlets so especially delighted with this product.

Very big, the length of a Pringles tube. And 30%thicker . Weighs similar to maybe a bag and a half is sugar , it’s weighty, but it feels expensive The sound quality is second to none, the base, oh the base!! I use it in a working kitchen and it will hold up this New Year’s Eve!! I’m gunna Rick the spot, the ability to connect 50 of these bad boys just blows my mind. And a feature I love love love. After you get the app you can turn it on and if and mess with the EQ etc without having to move a muscle lol. I did hate how u have to go over to the Bluetooth speaker and turn on and off and connect every time, but the app makes it a dream. Kudos!! I might even invest in the blast version which is their loudest apparently . I got this one for nearly 90 English sterling on a sale so I think it’s a bargain, but paying so much for the blast version I dunno, I’d say wait for a sale

After watching some reviews online I decided to pull the trigger on the Megaboom. Wow, it was worth every penny. The sound quality and bass is incredible and this speaker easily fills up any room! I have been using it outdoors to whilst training and I don’t even have to put it to max volume to enjoy my music. Battery life is great, I have only charged once since purchase 3 weeks ago with regular use!

Bought this as a Christmas present for my son at a bargain price. Great little speaker with good sound. Looks good and he loved the colour. Nice size - not too bulky and very portable. Best buy this Christmas!

The battery or usb port on the UE has failed after 4 years so does not charge when usb is connected, when you pay so much for a product, the charging or battery should last longer than 4 years. Though been a useful piece of kit for 4 years. Repair costs and time are around a half of buying a new one if one repairs it themselves.

Bought this when it was on offer on Black Friday for my 18yr old son, big mistake, its still going strong banging out the oomf oomf oomf at deafening volume and it's waterproof so it goes everywhere with him, we purchased one previously for my daughter so knew what we were getting, excellent quality speaker, for the money we paid honestly don't think you'll get a better bit of kit
