Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass® High Temperature Slotted Pelton Spatula/Turner, Grey

I have 3 of these and they're basically the only spatula that I use. They're nice and thin on the edge, helping you get under delicate things like eggs and fish. They're strong enough for a large steak or chicken breast. They go under a grilled cheese without squishing it.I've used these literally every day for 4 years and the edges barely show any damage. They stand up to the heat and don't shed an edge like most plastic spatulas. I wish I had these 20 years ago.I like to give these as gifts, too. It's hard to go back after getting one of these.

The best food turning spatula out there. Was turned on to this product by America's Test Kitchen and they are spot on. Watch for imitation products that are NOT able to handle the higher heats that this product can.

I have used Matfer spatulas for years now and in my opinion they are the best on the market. They are very sturdy and just flexible enough to stand up to hard use, but can still slide into tight corners in bake pans if needed. One of my old ones broke after many years of hard use so I replaced it with this purchase. I was surprised to find that the sharp edges on it left my the moulding process had not been sanded off and I found that it kept scratching the palm of my hand when I used it. I solved the problem by lightly sanding it with a 220 grit paper, but the manufacturer should have never shipped it out in this condition. I am hoping that this new spatula lasts and performs as well as my older ones did.
