Diamine 80ml Red Dragon Fountain Pen Ink Bottle

A deep red. Writes smoothly and is a nice break from black or blue. There is some bleed through (pun intended) on lesser grades of paper. It is definitely worth what it is paid for and is easy on the eyes. Recommend for passionate love letters.

Beautiful blood red color; does not bleed through my stationery; dries fast. Great durability, functionality, and is superb value for the money. I'll start with important points, it flows great and doesn't clog. It's not liquid either so it wont leak, it flows beautifully and smoothly. Now the color, its beautiful slightly darker red. A lot of darker red inks are close to color brown, but this one is nowhere close to brown at all, hence it's perfect. When inside the pen (my fountain pen is transparent), it looks like actual blood taken from my veins. When on paper it stays the same and always looks like fresh blood (not dry blood, don't worry haha) The size of this thing is huge. I got through many many pages on one simple refill and I got so much more left, will likely last me 2 to 3 years. It's great value. It's worth it. If you want to avoid nasty red ink teachers use to mark papers and avoid darker red ink that appears to be brownish, then this one is perfect, genuine fresh blood red. Easy on the eyes, yet presents power

Beautiful red with good flow and proper lubrication. It also cleans out easily with random color changes I seem to do several times a week! Solid brand, solid color, and perfect consistency. Five stars for me, but Diamine has become my go to solid brand I can count on.

This red ink did not disappoint!

This ink is really beautiful --a deep, rich red. It is a wonderful shade of red that is not too garish or "retina-searing," so it works for an elegant piece of writing. The only drawback is that, like many red inks, this one has a tendency to gunk up your pen. If you let a pen sit with this ink for a long period without use, you'll see a bit of "crud" that gathers around the nib. So to combat that, you need to flush the pen more often than with less gunky inks. Still, I recommend it because the color is so warn and rich.

I do a lot of medieval-style pen work, and I find this Diamine Red Dragon to be a gorgeous color for that application. It is not a bright or gaudy red, but rather a dark, rich red. But the thin I like best about II,is that it doesn’t write too wet, and therefore is quite resistant to feathering. My work requires nice clean strokes, and so far this ink gives me that. I was using Monteverdi Ruby for my reds, but it was quite runny and my text and decorative elements were not sharp due to the feathering. I was worried about the darker red color, but I find that I like it more than any other red I’ve used. I know that “color preference” is a subjective and personal criteria, but for me, this ink is really attractive for my applications.

It's just beautiful. Delivery was well packaged, bottle is pretty and the ink behave really nicely! It doesn't dry fast, it glides in my fountain pen and is definitly worth it. Fun thing; beware if it you get an ink spill or when cleaning your pen. People might mistake it for real blood :)
