Sharp, clean, high quality, no nonsense. Characteristics of a good partner and a good hole saw.
Used this hole saw to add shore power to my minivan camper. It cut through the vehicle’s exterior metal with ease making a clean 2” hole for simple installation. It made a nerve wracking decision a lot less nerve wracking!

Smooth cut, easy to remove plug
I use this entirely to cut coves in the edges of shelves. I cut the cove and then I route a decorative edge around it to make a nice border in place of a sharp corner. (Cove is just where you cut a curve out of a spot in wood, you've seen it plenty of times, mostly on corners. So that's important--a bit like this is most likely used to cut complete circular holes through things, which I never do, so I can't say for certain how well it does that. It's much better than the cheaper bit I was using before it. Why? It cuts fast, cuts straight, and doesn't wobble. Wobbling causes sloping of the sides of a hole, especially if you don't do the full 360' of the hole but will make a straight through kind of funnel shaped at the top too. Circular bits like this often "keep" the plug they cut out of something and it's a pain to remove. And when you're forcing it out, you may bend the teeth out, causing...wobble. This one has a clever slot in it for removing the plug, so you don't ever hurt the bit doing that plus you often don't have to do much at all. It's not the cheapest one you will be able to find but it represents value because it really is better than the cheap ones--I've owned both.

nice and sharp
Nice and clean cut. Extra depth on bit is great.

Great for hardwood
Excellent hole saw for hardwood. Drilled 128 consecutive holes in 3/4” white oak, using a slightly underpowered drill press and taking only enough time between holes to clear the plugs. Clearing the plugs is super easy with a flat head screwdriver in the slot. I bought 4 of these expecting them to dull quickly for this project but using only one of them, the last hole was just as clean as the first.

2" hole in 1.75" thick hard maple tabletop
I'm an occasional DIYer so I just have a few underpowered Ryobi tools to take care of any projects that come up at home. I was putting together a custom desk with a secondhand hard maple tabletop and was scratching my head over how to create a 2" grommet hole for my cords without burning out my little Ryobi drill or breaking my wrist from kickback, which is how my cheap Ryobi 2" hole saw behaves, even with softer wood. I decided to bite the bullet and invest in this Lenox hole saw and I do not regret that decision. It still took me <1 hour of light pressure, high-torque, and low-speed drilling to chip away at the 1.75" thickness of the tabletop (from both sides) but the hole turned out as cleanly and beautifully as a cheap little drill could make and I now have a stunning desk and place to run my cords at 1/3 the price of buying an overpriced, cheaply produced desk from retail.

Worth every penny. I wanted to cut a hole in my desk at the office to hide my cables. I bought a cheap hole saw, it was taking so long, kept getting stuck, and it broke not even half way through. So I bought this one and WOW what a huge difference!!! It cut through my very thick and solid desk in seconds and it felt so smooth! You won’t regret this purchase! It worked so well, I have been thinking I may need another hole or 2 in my desk haha

Fait parfaitement le travail!

Worked well for drilling a 2" hole through multiple pieces of 2x6's. Takes a strong drill since a lot of torque is required once the bit get deep into the middle of the wood. The trick I found is not to push too hard and just let the bit's teeth do the work, since they dig in quite well. I was able to drill through 3 pieces of 2x6 (4-1/2" total depth) without any problem.

I used this hole saw twice to cut thru 1/2" PVC, which is did very well. It was difficult to get the cut pieces out of the saw afterwards but I managed. Pleased with this item.
