Great hand blender. Easy to clean, and easy to store. The attachments are useful but not bulky which is great. Can be used for lots of different tasks so it's really versatile. Different power and speed settings are great.I bought this as my much more expensive kitchen aid one was damaged in a leak and this works just as well if not better.

easy to store, easy to use. it only has to levels of power but I've never fiddled with that on previous ones so if you're not looking for adjustable speed this is a great option. Also, super easy to clean I'm over all so happy with this purchase!

From the moment this arrived I knew there were going to be problems, but my back was against a wall so had no choice but to use it. I was only interested in the chopping beaker, so I cannot comment on the other attachments. Firstly, the blade piece does not align with the lid, so when placing the lid on top it requires you to shake the beaker with some force to get it into position or manipulate the lid until it does, or it will not close properly, and the blender will spin without turning the blade. Not the end of the world, but tedious. Then, to clean the lid, you have no option but to take it apart, or soapy water will be trapped inside and spill onto any food you decide to use it on the next time. Or worse, rotting food. Either way, whatever was put in it is no longer edible. This is a big problem, and doesn't make for a great time. At all. OK, the lid can be taken apart with a lot of anger, and risk it snapping in two (the plastic is weak), but why design it so poorly? Box the lid to give it structural strength because of using cheap, brittle plastic? And finally, if that wasn't enough, today it stripped the blade piece and lid connecting teeth completely, and deposited fragments of plastic onto the food that was meant to be chopped, therby not only destroying itself but the food also. I was not attempting to chop marbles or gravel, just some soft vegetables. This is now only fit for a landfill. Utter garbage. These are serious design and material flaws, and does explain why this is so comparatively cheap, but from a brand such as Russell Hobbs, I expected a lot better.

Wife's really happy with this blender

Having undertaken some simple research and looked at reviews, I thought this would be a good replacement for our broken blender.It was a similar design style, easy clean etc. So thought the performance would be similar, sadly not.Due to the design it takes some jiggling to get the lid to sit cleanly on the blade shaft. Once on, the blades happily spin round but I've had to pick up the blender and shake the whole thing to try and get it to actually blend, even with fairly moist mixtures, such as making guacamole.It's as though it could benefit with an in-built paddle to move the ingredients whilst blending.I've decided to look for another as this just doesn't work.
