I've been using the TG filters for many years with excellent results. They've never failed me. I'm one of those individuals who doesn't exercise due diligence in changing oil according to the vehicle manual recommendation (3mo./3k mi.), and with this filter, I can get away with it! I use the TG2 on my one-owner '96 Tbird. She's still got under 100k miles on her and has yet to need engine work. I also tend to open her up once in a while -- sometimes for interstate on-ramps, but mostly just for fun -- so I haven't exactly handled her with kid gloves. Whether this reliability is more a testament to the Ford 4.6L engine or the Fram filters is debatable, I suppose, but I believe the TG filters have played a major part in avoiding costly repairs. FWIW, I've been using only Pennzoil conventional with the TG2 and my Bird has never known synthetics. If you're the type who uses conventional oil (getting rarer) and religiously changes filters every 3mo./3k, then you can plop just about any filter on your ride and be good to go. If, however, you tend to procrastinate or your vehicle sees rough service, then you need a good filter like this one. The gripper top coat helps one keep hold of the filter while maneuvering it into place and get it spun on. Considering this filter's superiority to lesser ones costing about as much and some high-end ones costing double and triple what the TG costs, using the TG is a no-brainer!

Good product ordered it for my brother he's a mechanic for the county and he's a honest hard worker who knows the mechanic business. He will tell me what's good or not good this is something he asked for and so it must work good. Plus he is like all Americans working hard they look for the best price but it has to be a reliable product for him to choose this over other products that might be more expensive
