The 1080p Master.
This review is for the Omen i7 9750H with a GTX 1660Ti. 17inch 144hz model. Firstly and most importantly the GTX 1660Ti in the laptop is NOT a Max Q model but it IS a full blown 1660Ti which is great Design of the laptop are sleek and light. Keyboard is excellent and full 4 zone led lit Screen is vibrant and excellent for gaming movies and browsing. Nvidia window states GSync screen detected with the laptop screen. Turning off all vsync there is still no tearing in games so GSync is working. Performance is outstanding this will play any game ultra details 1080p smoothly. Great WiFi signal. Very good fan noise whilst gaming Extremely fast at everything it does. Typing is nice and easy as the keyboard is excellent. Nice and rigid. Remember on first boot if your keyboard lights are not on to load the omen command centre to set them up once the laptop has finished it's updates windows update and windows store updates. They are separate and need doing once you've signed into windows. Xbox companion app works flawlessly to speak to and join your Xbox gamers cross play or private party chat. This spec omen is the sweet spot for 1080p maxed out gaming. I tested - Hunt showdown maxed 80fps Sea of thieves 100 fps maxed World of Warcraft 100+ fps ultra Shadow of the tomb raider benchmark at ultra was average frame rate 80 You won't go wrong with this spec, Everything silky smooth. Downsides It comes pre fitted 2x 4gb ram so will need a little more down the line, it will take 2x 8gb or a Max of 2x 16gb sticks upto 3200mhz, the pre fitted ones are DDR4 3200 which are fine anyway. It seems no corners cut at all here This model Omen caters for all. You know my reviews are unbiased and always true to as I find the product. Review Score is 9/10. 1 point off (just for the scrimp on the 2x 4gb ram sticks). Otherwise Awesome.

First impressions are that this is a fantastic laptop
I've only been using this laptop for a few days but I am highly impressed with it. I decided to opt for the more expensive 16 GB version which has a slightly more powerful graphics card and which came in at £1,300 (March 2020) - since I'm under coronavirus lockdown I figured I had nothing better to spend my money on. Anyway, this thing is lightning quick for everyday tasks and so far has handled the Steam games I've loaded with ease (Divinity 2 and old Total War games). In boots up in literally seconds and due to the high refresh rate for the screen everything looks silky smooth. There's a tiny bit of bloatware that comes pre-installed that I removed straight away, but not as much as you get with cheaper laptops. Speaking of cheaper laptops, I'm getting the impression that for a decent machine you really want to be spending over £1000 or so because all the models that are around £500-600 seem to have absolutely trash specs - and I looked for ages. Over the course of 6-7 years which is how long I want this to run, spending £1300 versus £700 is really not all that much difference so if you're like me and in doubt, just get it - you won't regret it! If you're getting the 8 GB version you'll probably need to upgrade the RAM to 16 GB because that's increasingly what you want for normal gaming I think - but apparently it is possible with these laptops.

The laptop is a beast, but..
From the beggining, i had a really bad time with the delivery team, took way to much for the laptop to be delivered. When i got it, the laptop was in a really nice package, well protected and really clean ( as it should be ), and i was really happy for it. The screen at first didn`t seem to big untill i compared it with my gf 15" laptop, and after that i was like " damn, that`s a big display" . Some of you might have a shock with the keyboard, I surely had, because it appears to be to small compared to the hole body, but you get used with it. I haven`t touched the mouse pad yet, so can`t really make a review for that, but from what i`ve used it it`s not that great, that`s why i bought a proffesional mouse. The microphone is really really bad, I am not sure if it`s my laptop that is faulty , but on all my discord calls everibody tells me they can`t hear s**t from me, so unfortunately that is a big down because i had to buy an external microphone. The integrated speakers sounds legit nice, and the audio jack combined with my audio technica headset makes any song sound perfect. Now on the main event, the laptop power for playing games is unexpectedly good. It runs any aaa+ game on at least 40-50 fps, and combined with a external cooler and the new Omen command center that controls the internal fans so good, you can get even better performance. Sometimes i have problems with it, but i think mostly is either from the system or the drivers not instaled corectly, so i might need to clean it up at sometime and reinstall everything just to be sure. My biggest test for it so far was running Assassins Creed Oddyssey throuh a hdmi cable on my 55" smart tv which is 4 k hdr , and i was able to play the game at ultra 4k hdr with 110 % resolution, everything literally maxed out with like 15-35 fps, which for me is a lot. So the laptop is a beast, but i think it still has small problems, which can be fixed, but overall well worth the price if you don`t want to go all in for the 2k + laptops. Hope my review helped, i will come with photos later on. Review made after using it for 1 month.

Great laptop
I originally purchased a cheaper gaming laptop from another manufacturer but returned it as I wasn't happy with the build quality and performance. This laptop is worth the extra money. The build quality is superb, it looks great and the performance is remarkable.
