Liquid gold :-)
Great drink. Gift for my wife who fell in love with it in Scotland and treats it like liquid (potable) gold.

A little taste of Scotland
Ever since our trip to Scotland my grandson craves Irn-Bru. He insists it is a unique taste. I don't drink any carbonated drinks, so I can only share his opinion, but I know he loves when I order this for him.Minus 1 star because of the high cost.

Scotland prep
Going to Scotland next month and in preparation for the trip have heard more and more about Irn-Bru. I read up on the "flavor profile" and found that it seemed to be a somewhat polarizing beverage, at least among non-Scots. The US price was a bit steep for a six-pack but placed the order anyhow. Having been at least somewhat prepared based on what I've found online, the initial taste was not all that appealing. However, I continued drinking and enjoyed it more with each sip. After finishing the first bottle, I was not sure I'd order again or even drink it on the trip. However, I had a second bottle and was hooked. Maybe it's one of those acquired taste things but it did not take long. I'll just be sure not to mix it with whisky and - as someone said - ruin both the Bru and the whisky. I'll enjoy a bit of each but keep them segregated.

Kenny, me lad, it's kinda meh
I follow Kenny Boyle on The 'Tok/Tube; he is a Scottish author and actor who talks about Scotland. He mentioned this stuff saying it is the most popular soft drink in Scotland and I felt I had to try it.Kenny, I'm sorry to say it's pretty meh. It's not bad but it does have a peculiar[?] weird[?] OK, let's settle on indescribable flavor. Again, it's not bad. Unfortunately for me it does contain aspartame, an artificial sweetener along with sugar. For me, the aspartame is an issue as I can taste it long after the drink is done. The drink is lightly carbonated, for me that is not a major factor but again, for me, more carbonation is better. Can I recommend this? I think it should be tried by anyone and everyone for this is a unique drink, so, Yah, do try it. For me, I've tried it and that need has been met, I doubt I'll try it again. [That aspartame is a real deal breaker...]But do give Kenny Boyle a listen/look. He knows the way.
