Well worth the asking price
I'll be honest, this was a reluctant purchase-I love listening to music and have invested heavily in hifi for my office. Roksan amplifier, Dali speakers etc, but headphones? Earbuds? I was never sure I could tell the difference between cheap buds and something like these and whether something that goes in your ear could feel and sound like hifi audio. Hence my reluctance. Well, compared to my daily Anker buds, these have been a revelation. The sound stage is huge, lows, mids and highs all where they should be, the app is great, anc near perfect and to top it off an amazing battery life. They are comfortable, easy to control and don't (so far) fall out. Build quality is excellent. Well worth the original asking price and a no brainer when on offer.

I don't know what I'm talking about but I like these a lot
I'm almost exclusively trash. I'm used to cheap wired headphones and I usually hate change, as well as not really knowing what good audio sounds like. So, this review is from the perspective of an overall swamp goblin who doesn't know what they're really talking about. The audio quality is great as far as I can tell. I don't know what I'm looking for, but everything seems to come through pretty clear. Bass is strong but not like, too strong. It's not tinny. I can hear parts of songs I never noticed before. Sound wise, these headphones are making me love music again. Love that.Build quality seems pretty solid. The case is nice, everything feels secure, and nothing looks or feels cheap. You'd hope so too because these are a hell of a lot more expensive than my usual cheapo wired earbuds. No faults here.As far as I can tell, the battery life is actually great. I listened to various stuff on Spotify for about 2.5 hours, give or take, and I was at about 65% battery by the time I took them off. By this time I was ready to whap them back in the case, so I don't foresee any battery issues unless I'm stupid and forget to charge the case. Lovely.I was worried about the look of them when they're in, because a lot of the marketing photos looked a bit like Frankenstein but the bolt goes through your ears instead. I'm pretty pleased to note that they're not overly stupid looking in real life. They really don't stick out as much as the pictures let on, and they feel really secure when they're in. Haven't dropped one so far, knock on wood. Brilliant. After wearing them for a while, they did get a little uncomfortable. But this is like 3 solid hours of having them in. It wasn't bad, but I could definitely feel some pressure. Easy solution: take a break every so often. Every pair of headphones will feel a bit uncomfy after that long, and because of that I'm not taking off any stars for this slight uncomfortability after multiple hours. Moderate use is totally comfy. We stan.Range wise I've not noticed any issues so far. If I leave my phone in one room and go across to another, through multiple walls and doors, it does struggle and eventually cut out. But being in the same room works perfectly well. This is the same range I've had from other Bluetooth connections so again, I'm fine with that. The only thing I do see as a potential issue is losing one. As far as I can tell there isn't a way to track the individual buds. So, don't be stupid about it. Put them back in the case when you're done, and don't lose the case. While these are totally a luxury product and cost a decent chunk, so far I'd say they're pretty good. They're also quite a bit cheaper than other competitors, but with a much better battery life. They're delivering everything I wanted so far. I was between these and a couple of others, and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with my choice. Definitely worth picking up.

Hello Cambridge audio
Cambridge audio….Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2024Style Name: 8GBSize Name: 256GBColour Name: MidnightWhat to say about these earbuds? If having Matt berry telling you you’re connected is a plus then well these may be for you. Yes if you choose the Southwark option in the voice settings you get Matt berry informing you of things. Well whatever voice prompts are used. If your main point is ANC then these might not be for you. Though they do a very decent job. Sadly the ANC are not perfect for the underground. It does enough to mask the noise but not enough to eradicate it. Tho I always prefer sound quality over ANC. So not really a huge problem for me. I do like the sound. And obviously having Matt berry tell me my buds are connected is kind of cool. I found the fit nice and comfortable. Haven’t used these much so can’t say for 100% if I could call these the best buds a man/woman can buy. Would I recommend them? Yes would be the short answer. Granted they are not overly cheap. And have heard some people complain about the size of the charging case. Ok so it’s not small like the Apple EarPods; but I don’t find them overly massive or have issues with carrying in my pocket. Also must add I am no audiophile or an expert in the science of sound and music so I can’t beguile you with the beauty of the highs and lows or the mids. But I have been pretty indecisive when it comes to earbuds had a few over the years. Sadly lost my senheisser momentum 4 earbuds which were nice. But these Cambridge audio’s are nice. And good to support a British company. (And no I’m not part of the farage brigade) I personally find these buds to be decent. Battery is good sound quality is good. The touch is responsive so no issues playing or pausing by touching the buds. Phone call quality also seemed to be good as well. Obviously these won’t bear the bowers and Wilkins PX8. But those are headphones so bigger drivers. If you’re looking for a decent pair of buds I would recommend these. But of course this all comes down to taste and preference. As the earbud market is pretty tight. With Bose and Sony and senheisser. All decent buds. So of course it will be hard to make a judgement call on which ones are the best ones for you. The Cambridge audio buds are no slouch in the market. And I am enjoying using them. The music is vibrant. Not much bass. (But the EQ on the factory flat) and not overly keen on bass. They are better on headphones (my opinion of course)So there you have it my review hopefully I’ve been helpful. If not I apologise profusely.A sad update (play the violins sad music please) I am sad to say after a few weeks of use, I have found a few issues, sound wise sadly if volume up to max there is that bassy sound you get on much cheaper speakers; I really wanted to love these earbuds; maybe I got unlucky and my pair became faulty who knows. So I’ve decided to just stick with headphones. That’s not to say the sound quality on these are bad. Just that issue and ANC isn’t amazing.Tam Fandango signing off
