Play Nine is a relatively simple game to play. The object is to have the low score at end of the game, just like in golf. Each player is dealt 8 cards face down into 2 rows of 4 cards each, with the remainder put in the center of the table as a draw pile. Then each player turns 2 cards face up. Players take turns either drawing a card or picking up from the discard stack to get the lowest combination of numbers on their cards. Card values range from 12 points down to -5 points. If 2 cards match in the same column, they cancel each other out. A scorecard is kept for each player, and after nine holes the game is over and the winner is the person with the lowest score. The directions included in the game are very easy to understand and it can be taught to new players in a short amount of time.

Q: If I buy two sets of Play Nine can more than 6 people play at one time?

Gosh, I would certainly think so. Cannot think of why 8 or 10 wouldn't work if 6 works out okay. So you must be right, all you need are more cards (2 sets). We bought 2 sets because we figured that we'd wear out the first set too quickly since we love it so much and play almost every night.
