Good first impression
If they hold up, five stars. I like the fit, the thickness of the denim and color.

Decent quality jeans that live up to the brand.
These are well built jeans and live up to their brand.Sizing is as listed, and I get the expected amount of wear from them.As with all cotton denim, a bit of attention to laundering guidance will help preserve the color and the fabric itsself.

Best fitting jeans ever!
Great weight material that moves with you. A little higher waist in the back, so don't get confused with a plumber. All the belt loops are where other things fit right on your belt.

A tale of two jeans-ies
It was the best of jeans; it was the worst of jeans. And they were both Lee jeans.Getting older often means it's harder to keep off the pounds. Having gained a few, I finally transitioned out of the jeans size that I have worn the past 30 years. In truth, I probably just added an inch rather than two, but the older jeans were feeling a bit tight around the waist so...But here's the thing. I bought two pairs of Lee Regular Fit Straight Leg Jeans in the same size but different colors: Aztec and Walnut. The Aztec fit perfectly. Really, perfectly. The Walnut were as tight as my current jeans. Same style of jeans, same waist and inseam, and yet I had to send the Walnut back because they were too tight. That shouldn't happen. Somewhere, Lee's quality control is a bit wonky. My wife suspects they were manufactured in different plants, but both tags said Mexico. Maybe Lee has more than one Mexican jeans plant. I dunno.Beyond the weird differences in the same size jeans, everything else was OK. And I mean OK. Not great or not bad, but just average. The Aztec color is less yellow than depicted and is more a pure dark tan, no maize-colored undertones that would justify the color naming choice. The Walnut color made more sense and was a true brown with a hint of dark grayish undertone. The Aztec-colored jeans had a lot of hanging threads on them, but the sewing job otherwise seemed solid and consistent. But in comparing this pair of Lee against a pair I still have from about 20 years ago, the fabric on the newer jeans is distinctly—and disappointingly—thinner. Sigh. It's true: they don't make them like they used to.If there is a counter to this downside, it's that Lee probably fits me better than any other brand. I do buy Arizona and Levi's from time to time, but the Lee seem made for me in a way that the other two brands approach but never quite reach. And that's why the sizing irregularity between the two pairs is so out-of-character from my experience of Lee.The good part is that Amazon took back the Walnut pair with no hassles and no return costs. The bad part is I elected not to replace them because I needed THAT color, and I'm just likely to get another pair that are a skootch too small. And the gray color is out of stock. Oh well.In short, I experienced some odd sizing differences between my two pairs, but the ones I kept fit like a glove. Like so many things, this new pair is not as hefty as an old pair I own, which is a shame. So overall, this buy creates some mixed feelings. YMMV.
