Better than most, not the best tho.
It’s the best Throttle that’s easy to buy on this side of the pond. It’s not as sturdy as it’s paired stick but still decent build quality. Lots of buttons, good sensors. Plastic parts on the throttle are wobbly, some switches are a bit loose and the slew “nubbin” is less ideal than a thumb stick on the TWCS. Still, for half the price of what you can get from Virpil and without dealing with customs and a long wait time it’s a good buy.

Built like a Hog
If you're looking for a high-fidelity throttle, and especially if you're going to fly the DCS A-10C/II, this is IT. It's accurate, durable (I'm about 2yrs in on mine), and well made (solid switches and steel construction). There are thrustmaster products that I wouldn't touch with a 10-ft pole (looking at you T-flight headset), but they got this one right.

Fantastic and well worth the cost!
If you are a serious simmer you need this! Precise control, plenty of buttons and switches, heavy duty and adjustable. Best peripheral I have bought in a long time and the best military style throttle I have ever owned.

Not worth it for the price
Being new to Flight Sims, I thought I would purchase what is supposed to be one of the best throttles from a big name in the business, as well as one of the best throttles from a smaller company that deals directly with consumers. The difference is huge so where do I start? The Warthog - It's sleek, and boy does it look good. And that's the wow factor that made me even consider this throttle to begin with. Being new to the hobby I found the throttle lever to be nice and fluid, with cool buttons and switches all over. Unfortunately it begins to dissipate shortly after that. The button options, though somewhat true to the real thing, serve limited purpose for those wanting a single throttle controller for their games. I do mostly general aviation (MSFS2020) and unless I want to 'trick' switches to work a certain way via in-game settings, it doesn't make all that much sense. The 'flap' is a 3 position lever which really made no sense as I had to program that to add or lower flap adjustment versus having an axis. Worse yet, the switches at the top of the base are hard to utilize when you have your throttle pitched forward. Again, TM really wants you to use this thing on only one plane. The Competitor - Since this isn't a review on the 'other' controller, I will say this. This controller has multiple detents that allow independent changes to both the front and the back of your throw. There is also a larger variety of buttons, and a nicer selection on the base itself. Toggles that make sense, push buttons that not only illuminate, but also change color when using them as a soft toggle or the sort. Speaking of soft toggle, the software provided allows immeasurable customization as you can change an axis to utilize button controls, dampers, even change push buttons into toggles and more. I have yet to program any more than a few buttons only because I'm trying to figure out what all features I want, to use as an excuse to push even more buttons. I didn't mention the 'friction' control on the Warthog and I may as well say it here; it's a joke with their large dial that requires 10 turns in any one direction until you can feel a change. The competitor unfortunately requires you to unscrew the base, but that just opens it up to expose it's full-metal innards; I think they did this on purpose to show you what a real high-end throttle is supposed to look like. Anyway, I hope this review helps to ward off any potential buyers. I'm not saying the Warthog is a bad buy, I just think it's a bad buy at the price they're asking. You can get so much more (better) for the same price elsewhere.

Second WartHog throttle, same issue
Made of thick metal so its sturdy, but the first Throttle some switches and switches died and eventually the whole throttle became unrecognized after a few years ( less then 200 hours total use time though ). purchased this one, and button and switches died after a few months. will not buy another thrustmaster again, ever Joystick now has stuck buttons. Thrustmaster was a good company, now filled with Cheap crap that fails all the time. Joystick and Throttle have only been use a couple hundred hours total

Used, but very solid!
Bought used so I had to be thorough in my testing. For a used throttle, this works very well. All the buttons and switches seem to work just fine. I was able to map everything with no problems. What threw me off was how HEAVY this thing is. It’s very durable and I imagine this will last me quite a while.

Best of all
I've been a flight sim "player" for the past 35 years and also a retired military. I never had such a high quality/value commercial stick in my hands (both the throttle and stick...). This is almost military grade equipment. Not only it plays incredibly well, it has endless possibilities to customize its employment. There are no substitute, equipment like this is as close as you can get to the real thing. It will elevate your game tremendously as far as precision and efficiency.

Expensive but well worth it!
If you want to get serious about sim piloting, this is a must have. I bought the stick and throttle separately since it was a big chunk of change to get them together. I use them for DCS and X plane but it also works great for Elite Dangerous. The quality is excellent.

As a replica of an A10 throttle this is definitely well built and useful, however the switches are difficult to set up for most other sim purpose’s which expect buttons rather than switches. With Joystick Gremlin I make it work but I usually prefer the VKB STECS.

The only thing I don't like about the Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle is that it lacks functionality found on the Saitek X-55 Rhino. There are as many toggle switches but fewer movements or things you can set up with each switch. However, unlike the X-55, this is Made to Last. It is really well built. I expect (and hope) to get several years out of this without any issues.

I purchased the Warthog Joystick about 2 years ago (I know, I should of bought both at same time) to replace another brand that I seemed to have to replace every year or so. The extra money you pay now will save you money in the end if play often, and if you don't play often the extra money you spend on either will be worth it as well. Just like the joystick, which works just as well as when it came out of the box, I am very happy with it. I play a lot of Warthunder, and a bit of DCS so both the joystick and throttle get heavy usage (my nickname in both is "A_smelly_fart" .... look for upcoming videos on youtube). I will be purchasing pedals soon, and am optimistic I will be just as pleased with those as well.
