Amazing map for tracking movement across the country!
Amazing map for tracking movement across the country!Whether keeping tabs on a loved one who travels a lot, logging vacation travels or simply learning more about geography and where certain places are, this map is amazing.First off, it’s huge! It’s also laminated making it easy to write on with a dry erase marker and then wipe clean when needed. The resolution is quite good and this map has most major cities and highways all throughout the country. It’s got very good image quality and seems like it will last for quite some time. It’s a great tool especially for younger kids learning about the US and our amazing geography here!

Well detailed
This is an excellent and well detailed wall map. Good price and double sided.

Large, well made, printed on both sides and encapsulated in plastic.
I like the bright, easy-to-read printing of this map. It is large, but I remove the excess borders to make it more manageable. I will mount it on a handmade cardboard backing that I fabricate myself from the many Amazon boxes that enter my life. Three to five cardboard layers, glued in turn and allowed to dry appropriately, make a sturdy backing. Then, slowly use E6000 glue on each edge, allowing them to dry correctly, and you have nearly a bullet-proof lightweight support for anything. I use the same process to make custom-sized enclosures for dish towels and other handy receptacles. The E6000 glue strengthens the cardboard shape permanently, and no water can enter those edges. I've used E6000 glue on a carport to glue back a ceramic brick that had come loose. It never moved again! Yes, this is also an endorsement for E6000 glue.

Nice map.
I wrote a previous review (I think it was related to "seller" as I do not see it here.). My only complaint is that they are not tubed, therefore slightly dented. The dents did not show once I framed them. I had written that I bought 4 of these and 3 of the 'tubed National Geographic" maps. Both same size. These were rolled and packaged together and all had dents in them. The National geographic ones were tubed and there fore protected. I used all 4 of these and JUST now opened one of the National geographic Maps. THESE are by far thicker in material...close to poster board. The National geographic ones are very thin, though colors are deeper. Once in a frame it shouldn't matter. I glued these on cork board for gifts along with map pins. DO not use glue or modge podge, as even with the thicker amterial..the maps wrinkled!! I will try spray adhesive for my next one

Nice Double Sided map.
Looks pretty nice. I put it up at work to track where I have been for with my Service Technician job. Is printed on both sides with different background color. A lot more pins needed.Shipped in plastic sleave inside a cardboard tube.

We have been happy with it
I like it but it is HUGE. We have really been able to use it for plotting our way.

Great map!
This map is of good quality and very accurate. My map came double-sided with another color scheme to choose from.

X marks the spot
I wanted to have a fancy cork board map to push pins through, but I wasn't about to spend what it took to buy one already done. Go ahead, search on Amazon for a cork board map and peruse a bit. So I bought this map in conjunction with Quartet Bulletin Board, Cork Board, 2' x 3', Black Frame (MWDB2436-BK). I used a hacksaw blade and ran it parallel along the inner edge between the frame and the cork board, in order to make a little void between the two. Then I laid out the map on top of the cork board and trimmed the edges of the map, leaving about 1/2" beyond the inner edge of the frame. Ever so carefully, I pushed the edges of the map up under the frame of the cork board and voila, I saved myself $50+ on the whole shebang. Sure, it's not absolute perfection, but I'd say it looks pretty good and is passable for what I needed. You can see in the photos that there is a slight ripple from the rolled map not laying perfectly flat, but that's only noticeable in a reflection, and I'm hoping that'll smoother out over time. Or you could just hang it in a dark room and forget about it. Also, the lines of the map don't perfectly align with the frame, but they're pretty darn close. This map has the exact layout I was looking for and the resolution of the print is great. The colors are nice and the print is easy to read. I feel my little cork board map creation will last as long as the hills. So if you feel like being a little bit handy and want to save a bit of mulah, do what I did, then sit back and relish in the grandeur of your impeccable handiness.
