I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I originally purchased it in the hopes of effectively treating a cold sore that just wouldn't quit (abreva is super expensive and not that effective) and it worked amazingly for that purpose. Whenever I feel a cold sore coming on, I just make sure to apply this stuff and it never appears at all! When one does pop up, I apply this ointment to it several times a day (using a heavy hand at night before bed) and the irritation starts going down immediately! The cold sore is always completely gone within two days maximum! Honestly, I would buy this product just for it's use as a cold sore treatment, but it does so much more!! The first time I ever applied it to a cold sore, I found out that it's also the most amazing lip balm I've ever tried! So moisturizing, so soothing, and absorbs fast without sitting on your lips--but not so fast that you have to constantly reapply. The consistency is a bit like vaseline, though much thinner, and it absorbs quickly into the skin unlike vaseline which will sit on your skin until you wipe it off. In fact, this product serves as a very effective replacement for vaseline--you can use it anywhere you would use vaseline and it works MUCH better. I use it on minor cuts, scrapes, and burns with great success. It also works on blisters and bug bites and does a great job softening calluses. The absolute best use I've found for this ointment, though, is as a treatment for razor burn. Ladies, we all know the struggle of shaving "down there" and the kind of itchy, painful razor burn that follows. So many products claim to solve this issue and are completely ineffective, but this ointment WORKS. I just apply a thin layer over the entire area I shaved as soon as I'm done shaving and VOILA, no razor burn at all!! Ladies, seriously, if you use this product afterwards, you can even get away with shaving upwards in the "down there" region without experiencing any sort of razor burn or irritation at all afterwards! I have literally never found another product that will do that, and I've tried them ALL! Don't hesitate, GET THIS STUFF, and then wonder at how you ever lived your life without it!!

I was telling my cousin about this today at Thanksgiving and decided I should probably leave a review. I bought this back in April and have not had a single cold sore since I started using it. It’s moisturizing and a great value. I bought the two pack and keep one in my purse and one at my desk for work and both are still very full despite using it regularly. At the hint of that first itchy/burning sensation of a cold sore starting, this stuff stops it in its tracks. I tend to get them in the extreme cold and heat and have not had one since I bought this. I had one that healed before I bought it and was searching for a product out of frustration when I found this. I highly recommend it.

Great ointment! My husband was having cracks forming at the sides of his mouth. Went to 3 doctors, only 1 ointment helped. Went to refill and insurance denied and it was $1,000 out of pocket. Local pharmacist recommended this - total lifesaver. No problems at all since using it daily.

I have been ordering this product for years. I have gotten cold sores since I was a kid and can’t take lysine vitamins. I use this ointment as my chapstick instead and only have had 3 breakouts in the last 3 years. The ointment itself is pretty odorless and doesn’t have a taste which is a high plus! It’s not sticky at all. I apply it with a Q tip and you don’t need a lot of product. A little goes a long way. It keeps my lips moisturized and isn’t too oily. I definitely recommend if you are looking for something to use daily.

I absolutely adore this product for my chapped lips and I’ve tried TONS of products. It’s so silky smooth and lasts long!! As a female, I love the high shine gloss effect which makes my lips look amazing. I wear under and/or over lipstick and sometimes I do just a nude liner and this alone, makes my lips look super sultry. Even while kissing it lasts. It smells good too. EDIT UPDATE: I’ve been using for a couple of weeks, everyday and have no complaints. I’ve literally stopped using my other lip balms which are plentiful. Hands down my first choice. I’ve been pairing with L’Oréal lipgloss in Blissful Blush (#40) & Feathery Fleur (#50) It’s a natural, super high gloss look that gets endless compliments. Perfect for winter weather when lipstick is just too heavy. The balm is outstanding protection from the cold. It has a slight Vaseline consistency but not a thick feeling, more satiny and moist, not tacky. I put on throughout the day as I love it so much but it lasts awhile; I just like the super shiny look so reapply as necessary. I’ve already purchased more as back-up but still have plenty left. Price isn’t cheap but it’s generous amount and will last awhile, even with my constant use. Don’t hesitate to buy. I truly have tried endless lip balms and this is the top choice, thus far.

Fabulous! Much more affordable than the tiny tubes of another brand available at my local stores, and it doesn't have the funky smell that the other brand has. Takes care of my cold sores pronto.

These are great for sensitive lips. Gloss, chapsticks and lipstick always give me an outbreak. I use these as a daily moisturizer for my lips and it’s so thick that it looks like a gloss. The multipack is great because I keep them in different areas of my house and bags for whenever I need them. Expensive but worth it to me!

I have a skin condition that id i dont take L-Lysine I get itchy, underneath the skin reactions. I thought this cream would be the bomb and help that. Sadly it didn't
