Fairy Dust Clematis

It is almost October and I planted these in May. I wasn’t sure they would make it around my wagon wheel rim, but they did. One side kept getting eaten by grasshoppers, so it took awhile until it recovered. The other moved along better. They finally bloomed last week. I had to tie them up and wrap them around, as they did not send feelers to connect to anything, but they do look nice. I’m sure they’ll have many years of fun living in my little spot.

Fairy Dust Clematis arrived dry and looked dead. It was planted but doesn't look as if it will survive. This was a gift and was very disappointing. I am going to try and get a replacement or refund. This is why I didn't even want to give it one star, but review would not go through without selecting a star

It's hard to review this clematis because something is eating it along with other clematis I purchased from Home Depot. I've never had any problems growing them in the past. I think the rabbit population in my neighborhood has developed a taste for clematis.
