This is really effective. It has a very strong magnet, but it is easy to remove. I wouldn't recommend it if you are precious about your paintwork. The cable is very long so you can reach anywhere on your roof. There are several different modes, controlled from the adaptor. Fantastic value for money. I feel much safer now I have it

Ordered 2 and on testing before use 1 was fine, the other did some random flashing then stopped with one section brightly lit, the other sections off. Pressing the mode switch set off the thing into the random pattern, returning to the steady, 1 section on brightly again. Holding the mode switch on resulted in a circular flash pattern but letting go went back to the random then 1 section on bright. I disassembled the light and discovered small balls of solder in various locations around the board, balls that were stuck to proper solder joints. 1 ball was bridging 2 pins on the sequence chip, the pin that connects to the mode switch and the adjacent pin. Removing that ball fixed the light. I removed the rest of the solder balls and reassembled the light, all is working well now. Out of curiosity I disassembled the fully working light and found solder balls in there too, I cleaned those out before they could pose a problem. Conclusion, reasonable for price and functionality but quality control at the manufacturing level needs to be improved. The only real downside I could see was that the lamp itself is not well sealed to the elements and rain with wind could see water ingress to the electronics area but a bit of silicon sealant will remedy that. Overall reasonable at the price point (less than £20 UK)

For the cost this is exactly what you need for a breakdown - so buy it as a present for a loved one in the hope they never need it. Not just for nighttime and not just for motorways. Excellent range of high density strobe settings. But be warned - the base magnet is truly powerful. Try it on the base of a metal saucepan first to discover the claim that it would stay on at 70mph!

Cable length is fine. Long enough to get from cab to roof. Durability, hmm... Average to poor construction. Very easy to use and functionally perfect. The battery will not last more than about 2-3 hours. After that it fades and is not fit for site use. Handy for having as a back up. Magnets hold it in place for low speed use so ideal for quick access to a beacon and getting around site. If you need to use a beacon regularly then this is probably not for you. Get a plug in unit or permanent installation.

Justec flashing orange beacon lamp. Look no further guys. You wouldn't find anything better. Beats everything I've been looking at. Quick and easy to put up and take off.. Could well save us from serious injuries. Cheers to Justec.
