Whirlpool 661570V Dryer Drum Belt, Black

I bought this belt as a replacement for the above-listed electric dryer. The original belt was an FSP, made-in-the USA OEM #3387610. The Kenmore part number is 661570. The old belt was approximately 5/16" wide and fairly thick, with four grooves. This replacement belt is also made by FSP in the good old USA and has four grooves. It is a Whirlpool-branded part. The similarity ends there.This new belt works just fine, but it is about 25% narrower than the old one. It is also not as thick and weighs a lot less. The length is exactly the same as the old one, and it fits the dryer drum perfectly. I'm just wondering how long it will last compared to the original belt, as it is nowhere near as sturdy.Amazon sells another replacement belt for Kenmore, Whirlpool and other dryers with the same PN of 661570. It costs about $3.00 more and may be a little bit heavier. If I had to do it again, I would probably buy the more expensive belt. Overall, however, I am satisfied with this belt. It works, and more importantly, my dryer works again.2-21-23Well, just a little over four years later and this dryer belt is still humming along. At the rate it's going, it may outlast the dryer! I figure that in today's disposable market, this belt deserves an upgrade from four stars to five.

Item came exactly as described! This Drum Belt is of high quality (sturdy, fitment, etc.) and installation was easy. This originally started out with a faulty motor in our 20-yeard-old Kenmore Elite HE4 Dryer, which needed replacing. With the dryer completely disassembled, we thought it best to replace the drum belt and a new blower housing seal. The motor, belt, and seal ended up saving us over $1,200+ for a new dryer... Our Kenmore Elite HE4 has been running smoothly now for the past 2-3 months.I highly recommend this product! Lastly, I strongly advise researching the needed part numbers prior to the purchase of ANY replacement parts for your washer/dryer.

Symptom: You put your clothing in dryer close the door. Push "CONTROL ON" which lights up the control panel and select setting, push "HOLD TO START" and you get electronic click. Nothing happens and yet the panel is lit and you open the door and the light comes on. You have a broken belt. Diagnostic: 1. Go to the back and remove the top 3 screws (they have washers). 2. Slide the top off and you may or may not see a belt but it is broken. 3. Buy the belt. 4. Go to you tube and watch how to pretty much disassemble everything to replace the belt. 5. Make sure unplug electrical before starting replacement. You will kill the afternoon but it is a simple fix.

Perfect fit. With a youtube video installation at the most 20 minutes, if you slow like me). The product appears to be very high quality and arrived soon than expected. Just make sure your dryer's serial number is a match for this fan belt. If it is, then I recommend this belt 100%,

Fits my wed8410sw2 dryer and this one isn't falling apart after 6 months.

Got the part from Amazon, delivered just in time, before the household had a laundry apocalypse. (on day 2?!)Got the installation instructions from a parts vendor. (have thanked them)The part fit correctly and the drum be spinning.Two screws left over, i know what i missed on re-assembly, but will see if we get too much air leakage before attempting to take it almost all the way apart to get them installed. Again, part be working and saved quite some money (and kept me entertained for several hours)

I know it's a fairly standard part across multiple makes and models of dryers but for those wondering it fit my Kenmore dryer model 110.66002010. Just as a heads up for those venturing forth into diy appliance repair this wasn't necessarily hard to install but the final step in getting the belt on the drive pully is a little difficult as you're really doing it by feel. Other than that if you have patience, some basic tools and youtube handy you should be good to go.

This belt is narrower, and has one less groove. I'm concerned that it will wear out much faster and caused slipping.At least it is the correct size (overall length)
