Speedo Junior Recreation Mask Snorkel Set

I've ordered two of these; first one was just the mask and second order was for the set. The first mask only went about 3 days before the strap broke. It was long enough to adjust to one side and use but only lasted another day before the strap broke again. I returned it for refund and ordered this set. It was received Jul 2, was probably used 6 days since and the strap broke 7/16. I contacted SpeedoUSA about getting a replacement strap and they do not have replacement straps. I have 3 of these sets (different colors for each kid), they love them and the straps have broken on 2 of the 3 masks. I've been making do with straps off the old "cheapie" masks from last year but am out of spares. I am not sure what the solution is but I won't buy and don't recommend anyone buying Speedo. I have one Cressi set and it has gone all year without a problem. I hate the thought of replacing perfectly good masks just to get a strap that is reliable.

The strap for the mask is made out of plastic (not silicon) that has no elasticity. As a result you have to make it super tight against the kid's head however it keeps on slipping. You have to open it put around the head again and tighten again and do the whole process 5 minutes later. Swim coach agreed this is a bad product. Do not buy...

These are impossible for my 7 year old daughter to get on and a good fit. The band has zero stretch. They are easy to adjust the size but then it just slips out of place once they are on and the band does not stay in place on the back of her head. We even tried these in the bathtub to see if maybe the issue was because they were dry when we tried them on, nope same issues wet or dry. I may be digging the packaging out of the trash and returning these.. big waste of money. We have other Speedo goggles and love the quality so was surpised to be disappointed in these.

Bought 2 sets for young kids in preparation for Trip to Hawaii. The snorkel on both sets broke with very little use. The clear rubber just below the mouthpiece tore allowing water to enter the snorkel during use. Both snorkels tore in exactly the same spot so obviously a weak point.My daughter was able to use the mask with a replacement snorkel. No complaints regarding the mask as it seemed to work fine.

I took my kids to the Keys and these worked great!!! They fit well, the snorkel attaches to the goggles to keep it upright (yeah...I kept holding/adjusting mine until my 8 yr old told me I was doing it wrong, lol) and stays put while swimming. Without the goggles, the salt water was very strong and burned our eyes (even when closed), but with theses on there were no leaks and we could see everything clearly. Worth buying over the cheap ones found in the seasonal section at the department stores, even if only used for a short time!

So far these have worked well for my kids. The snorkels come on and off easily so you can use it without. The tightening and loosening ratchet mechanism works easily. They don't tend to need adjusting any more or less than goggles did. It's a good option for my kid who doesn't like to put her nose in the water. The masks do create pressure indents after a while, so be careful not to over-tighten.

Works great for my 7 year old. I really like that the mask is easily adjustable yet stays in place when underwater. This is the first mask/snorkel set my son has had and he's used it in the pool, ocean and lake without any problems. Great buy!

A great mask and snorkel at this price point. I'm a long time scuba diver with a dozen masks half of which I don't like that cost three to five times this set. I can find nothing to complain about with the Junior. My six year old daughter used the pair comfortably, my eight year old son as well. And so did I although slightly small for me...Straps on the mask are easy to adjust and stay put. Mask will make a solid seal on the face without the strap.Snorkel has a quick attach, blowout valve and a baffle.Great feature set at this price point. Good purchase.

My wife is a smaller lady and a regular mask leaks around the edges. This youth sized mask fit her perfectly.
