Intel Core i9-9900KF Beast!
What more can someone say that's not already been stated. It's expensive, yes. But if one can fit this processor into their budget, the return on investment will NOT be disappointing. Installation was very easy, I decided to go with the stock thermal paste that was pre-installed on the AIO Corsair cooler. See specs below. I was able to assemble my new build which took about 3 hours. The wiring/cabling was NOT a breeze. PC Case was a bit tight but everything did install. Mainly I was overly cautious but Win10 installed in under 15 minutes to a desktop. Fast!! Temps have been very low, ranging from the low 30s to barely above 50 degrees Celsius even in gaming. I have read comments this proc can sometimes spike hot, but my experience is this build is easily the coolest running PC thus far. I am NOT overclocked as yet, have had the build running for about 2 weeks now. Going to wait on that so can't comment but I know this beast is built for overclock potential. My default clocks on all cores seems to peak at 4700Ghz and I am thus far happy with that for now. Esp. From where I am upgrading previous, a 5 year old mid-range gaming PC. I have had zero issues and definitely notice my FPS in games is up. The only game I am running now is Black Desert Online, most will likely not have heard of this, a 3 year old game that is brutal demanding on hardware with graphics settings maxed out. My old rig pushed 10 to maybe 32 FPS if lucky. Yes I am using a 4K 27 inch monitor. I do need a better graphics card for 4K, you will also if ever considering moving to 4K. It's NOT an easy move if you don't account for graphics power. I have had about 3 years of laggy stuttery gaming (frequently but not all the time) so if considering 4K gaming, do NOT go with low budget graphics builds. You WILL regret it. But my FPS jumped up to 40 to 60 fps. All new components except the Video card and monitor are from my old build. Multitasking is a breeze, everything noticeably responsive and opens quickly. This Proc won't dissapoint. If you can afford it. After my last build in 2014 where I skimped on the processor (core i5 4790K) due to limited funds, I decided to throw as much as I could into the heart of the system and I am very happy I did! Seems to be working fine
I purchased this Microprocessor to upgrade my slightly old computer, for which the motherboard only allows up to this processor generation. So far, so good. However, I must say that I was a little disappointed that I did not receive the product in its official retail box, but an OEM unbranded brown box. The processor so far has been working fine, and it's a genuine Intel chip. However, being that it didn't come packaged in its original Intel packaging, I have my doubts this is really a brand-new processor. As a plus I must say they also included a heat fan, which I didn't know I was going to receive (This is not mentioned on the description) but when I first open the box I was afraid for a minute that I had received the wrong product, because what first jumps to your eye is the fan!, the processor was attached to a small compartment on the side. I could have missed it! I didn't need this fan anyway because I have a Corsair liquid CPU Cooler for the processor, but it's appreciated they included a fan. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. If something changes, I will update this review.

Hamazing
Picked this up for $420 after the 3900x got so much ass kissing. I'm a software architect and care more about my workstation responding instantaneously to my whim and demand than unrealistic benchmarks. The truth is if you need more than 6-8 cores you're doing a very specific professional workload. In 2019, however, 4 cores, even w/ hyper threading, is insufficient for any power user and you can feel the slowdown in daily use. This thing is at 5.1Ghz on all 8 cores just using my motherboard's auto-OC ( I don't know how to OC myself ). Things are instant. I can stream code from my brain to my IDE without ever waiting for the keystrokes to appear, close and open endless tabs instantly without that nasty close lag you feel on OS X or slower CPUs on Windows, and do pretty much anything imaginable. 8 cores is a good sweet spot for general use, coding, and gaming. Anything more is awesome, but likely 100% imperceptible to anyone not doing rendering or a few other thread-dependent workloads. If you don't know that you need 12 cores, you don't need 12 cores, and you can probably get by with 6. Windows also *FEELS* 200% faster when it doesn't have to flow through integrated graphics, this processor, therefore, is the god of desktop right now, benchmarks be damned. Whatever the tech was that Intel introduced in either the 8th gen chips or 9th gen that lets the CPU get to its turbo faster is the thing you don't get on AMD, so how fast your computer *feels* is still, unfortunately, better on Intel even despite comparable single-thread benchmark results ( which don't represent how long it'll take for your computer to *feel* like it's responding to you ). Conclusion: If you consider yourself someone who thinks or talks at a normal, casual pace, you're better off getting a cheaper AMD CPU because you won't necessarily perceive the benefits this chip gives you. If, however, you use a computer fast, and are a zippy little mofe, this CPU is currently the best out there capable of getting the highest single-core speeds which will make all the difference in how fast your computer feels.

Get Liquid Cooling
Short and simple...I got what I ordered. It's a great processor. I don't know why so many fake reviews with the same bad photo. In any case, this is a really nice 8 core hyperthread processor. The price was a little high for me at the time considering some new tech is cheaper, however it was an easy upgrade decision. I9-9900kf is nothing to sneeze at. Install went nice and easy. The only thing I strongly recommend is that you get liquid cooling. The copper core fan is adequate at the stock 3.6ghz. However, using intel speed boost technology it will reach speeds of 4.7 to 5ghz. It goes super fast, but gets really hot, really fast and will throttle back a lot. . I bought the icue H150 liquid cooling system and it took care of that issue. I ran cpu stress test on full load and my temps stay in celcius range of mid 60's no throttling. I have included 4 pictures for verification of the product and the liquid cooling aparatus used to keep this processor safe.

Best 9th Gen Available
I upgraded a 9th gen system from an i5 to this i9, which has more true cores and hyperthreading, all at the same TDW. It was painless, and I noticed the improvement immediately when I was opening all my apps at the same time. They opened faster and the system remained more responsive throughout. Having 16 hyperthreads on 8 cores is a very noticeable improvement over just 6 in my old i5.

Best Cpu for the price if your a true pc gamer
so ive had this cpu for about a month now and im loving it. even switching over from a 7700k this cpu out performs it in every aspect. i currently have it installed in a asus prime z390-a motherboard and over clocked easily to 5ghz on all cores at 1.29v and my temps never break 65c. if your looking for a good gaming cpu i would definitely recommend you buy the KF vs the stock 9900k or the 9900ks save yourself the 40$ and 100$ over the other two cpus and just over oclock to 5ghz yourself all your loosing is integrated graphics but if your a true gamer you already have a dedicated gpu. also about the other reviews of ppl receiving incorrect cpu i was a bit worried when i purchased but was totally happy when i opened my amazon box and saw the real deal 9900kf box and cpu there

CPU still not a huge part of gaming but...
I had an I7-6700 since it came out. Mobo died so I went with the I9 and z390. Usually I wait longer to upgrade these. A few clicks OC wise and the old setup screams along. I have an overbuilt H2O VR and SIM setup. X5 radiators needed. Zero fan noise so even OCd I was fine. I gained some extra m.2 slots and some RGB bling but not much else gaming wise. A little bump in cad and slicer software crunch times but that was mainly the increase ram. 32GB. Very nice chip. Runs a bit cooler. Idles at 25c. Every benchmark you see shows it runs faster and it does but it doesn't really translate into a better gaming experience. Highly recommended if your building a new rig. Wouldn't have upgraded if my old mobo was still good. Zero issues aside from future value. When the "next big thing" in cpu/mobo tech hits upgrading to that from the I9 wont be as big a bump once the I7 was topped out. Again. Awesome chip. Love intel. Budget wise builders should stay on the more funds into the vid card area and look at the I79 range Although if your a synthetic benchmark junkie the I-9 series is for you. The numbers look awesome even if your eyes can't see it while playing.

Be Warned Intel nor the Vender will not Honor Warranty !!!!
CPU Died while still under warranty, Intel Confirmed this but says i have to go thru the Retailer for Warranty Service ? i would not recommend this product as the warranty is worthless if they dont stand behind their products
