Vogue® Knitting The Ultimate Quick Reference Flexibound – Illustrated, October 1, 2019

The quick reference includes all the pertinent information from the vogue knitting ultimate knitting book in a convenient knitting bag size. Unless you are like me this is sufficient for almost all needs.

I bought this book because I started knitting a beautiful blue wool sweater about 20 years ago. I lost the pattern before I completed the neckline. I'm an amateur knitter; but I can follow a pattern and I just needed clear directions for completing this neckline and (finally) completing the sweater - which by the way is now too small for me but will make a great gift.This book is really comprehensive and that was exactly what I needed.A big plus is the Quick Reference Guide that comes with this book.My one complaint about the main book is it's weight. But it is a hardback book and is so full of knitting information that it must be heavy so I'm not reducing my 5 star rating for this book because of it's weight.I'm sorry I didn't buy this book before investing in a bunch of other knitting books. The Vogue Ultimate Knitting Book has what the others have and more.Buy this book if you want a knitting reference that this amateur knitter evaluates as useful for beginners to experienced knitters. I'm attaching a picture of the Table of Contents to help substantiate my opinions.

The smaller size of this book makes it easy to keep with my current knitting project, and there is always a current knitting project! I started referencing it the first day I received it. The pictures and descriptions make it easy to refresh or learn new skills. I am a very experienced knitter but sometimes still need to verify a stitch or term in new patterns. All around great knitting help.

I can carry this anywhere. Fits in a bag, tote, purse. There's a lot of information packed in here from the larger book. Still a lot of pictures, easy to understand instructions. Worth it. Wish I had it years ago when I first started!

I absolutely love this little reference book. It fits into my bag with ease and has got all the things I need to knit when I'm out. If need to look up a technique or explanation it's right there in the book. It's very light so you hardly notice it's in your bag!

The thing I like most about this book is how it reads. It’s not overly wordy like some that bray on and on. If there was one thing to improve this book it would be the illustrations. The sketches are lacking crucial details that photographs would display much better. I do recommend this book as it’s a solid reference tool!

If you have the Vogue Knitting The Ultimate Stitch dictionary, you don't necessarily have to have this book. However, the book is smaller and is a condensed version of the stitch dictionary. I love this book because I keep it in my knitting bag and it is always handy when I am working on a project. It travels well too.

Awesome knitting reference book to keep in knitting bag; is chock full of "how to" information with excellent pictures. It is appropriate for beginner knitters thru advanced skillsets. If I were to choose only 1 general knitting book to carry with me in my knitting bag, this would be the one I wouldn't want to be without.
