There is a reason that Mopar and NAPA rebrand these (I’m sure other brands do too). Wix filters are top-notch. Perfect for a daily or a performance vehicle.

Correct filter for EJ22 and EJ18 engines as well -- 23 psi bypass pressure.
This is the correct bypass pressure for not ONLY turbo Subaru motors but also the 1990s EJ18 and EJ22 SOHC engines -- 23 psi bypass valve pressure spec, as stated in the Factory Service Manual. When using the wrong filters (the "correct" ones as said by auto parts stores, which are not actually correct in fact) the oil light will stay on or flicker for an inordinate amount of time. With the WIX 57712 (or NAPA 7712) filters the oil light does not really come on during first start up. Been using these 57712 filters on my 1995 Impreza 2.2 for years and have had zero oil pressure related problems whatsoever.

Better than the OEM Subaru Engine Oil Filters
Owner of a 2012 Subaru Legacy -These filters feel heavier to the touch, rock solid and well built - I have used several brands of Engine Oil Filters and I do feel that these filters are much better quality than any Fram filters or the Subaru blue engine filters. Great price !
