these "tofu pockets" -for inarizushi - were such a treat for me after being in Japan! They weren't as "fluffy" as the fresh Japanese one's are, but they are such a contribution to a bowl of udon or soba as well as for being a pouch in which to stuff rice, etc. which then becomes an Inari-sushi (inarizushi)

I'm obsessed! I love making inari. You get quite a few of them in this can. I open the can and transfer the tofu pockets and the liquid into another container of I'm not going to eat them all. When making them, i just squeeze the excess liquid out with the palm of my hand, and then stuff them with rice and a spicy crap mixture. I'm obsessed with these, and will definitely buy on the regular. It is a little pricey, but if you think about it...i usually buy 4 of these already made from my local sushi place for about $7. 4 of them for $7, but you get about 12 (i think) of these tofu pockets in the can. You're actually saving money.

Delicious sushi made a home - easy peasy. Hopefully, next time they won't send me the leaking and the bashed up cans. Did I anger the Amazon gods?

I found this can years ago, and I try to never be without. The tofu pockets are used mostly for sushi, but can also be cut into strips and added to other dishes. This brand is the one I have most often found in Asian markets and restaurants where I have worked. Glad I can get it online.
