RolliCool Alexa-Enabled Portable Air Conditioner 10,000 BTU AC Unit with Heater, Dehumidifier, Fan, Mobile App (COOL208-19)

So our AC unit in the house broke and is too damn expensive to replace at the moment. Therefore, our temporary solution is to place portable AC units throughout the house. We have an LG unit in the living room that's a larger BTU for the large space, but it's size is wide and we needed something smaller for the bedroom. I chose the Rollibot 10000 BTU because of its size, appearance and ratings. The size is compact enough to place in a corner and doesn't take up too much space. It's got a sleek, clean design and easy to use. It's got a little bit of weight to it, but it's not like I'll be moving it around the house. Most of the reviews complained about the bluetooth capability, but I bought this knowing I would not be using it since it comes with a remote and its staying in the bedroom. The Rollibot is also quieter than the LG; low enough for white noise for sleeping. We've had it for a couple weeks now and it's working great! It keeps the room frigid, almost too cold. We've had to bump the temperature from 68 to 72 and on low fan. We are not using the dehumidifier so we haven't dealt with having to drain it. I have had to throw a washcloth over the menu because the light is bright at night and I like it completely dark when sleeping. Overall, this was a great purchase and recommend it. I'm going to purchase a second one to place in our office and because the price has decreased.

Keeps 2 bedrooms cool. Easy to turn on and off. Drainage and clean up are easy. The tubing and ducts used for ventilation and exhaust are not durable and break apart easily. Unit was bought in 2019 and just this summer (2025) did it finally need repairs.

This has got overall good reviews here at Amazon so purchased it. It comes assembled. However, in my case both the 2 side panels had popped out and held only by the screw on the handle. Took my considerable effort to pop those back in as had to remove it and then figured out they slide upwards to lock. Why 2 stars : 1. Definitely not maneuverable. The castors are too small to work on carpets. H/w floor - maybe. [.5 stars] 2. 10k BTU is a joke. They have definitely played/fudged numbers. I replaced a window AC which is 5000 BTU and has significantly better and cooler air than this one. [1 star] 3. NO AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF!! This is a glaring problem. They purposefully put a digital display where you can control (up/down buttons) to show your preferred temp. But guess what? The system continues to operate as-is when it reaches the pre-determined temp. In other words there's really no automatic shut down or start up. As a proof, set the display to 88F and start the A/C. It'll run irrespective of whether the room's 88 or 68 or 98 F. [2 stars] 4. The window attachment is HUGE. In other words it's meant for +45 in windows. Usually folks have much narrower window. Then the problem is the slider hits the hole and you can't vent out. I had measure and dremel out the extra. [1 star] 5. GO CHECK THEIR WEBSITE!! Then go to "Contact Us". Ha ha - they didn't even bother to put in values there. Whatever is the default that's what they have, for example their phone is 123 4567890 email is [email protected], etc.. If something happens - I guess the owner is on his own [ 1 star] 6. Does it work? Yes it does but due to the issues I mentioned above, I don't think its worth the hassle. I have not even verified the other stuff like dehumid., heater, etc. Also, its noisy. In HIGH its definitely above 64 decibels. Much touted Alexa and Smart Phone integration too cumbersome. My phone refused to connect. Requires user to allow location service, notification, 2.4 network (just didn't work with 5G), etc. Can I recommend this product? Absolutely NOT. At a slightly higher cost you can instead get a better and more respected company product.

This is legit amazing ! We purchased a new home a year ago with central air only to realize after that the AC unit is literally half too small for the size house we have. Basically on really hot days the house doesn’t go below 80. Well we couldn’t take it anymore and purchased this on a whim dying one night of heat in a bedroom. It arrived today and I’m impressed. I was able to set it up by myself for the most part. My husband helped to cut the window kit to fit our window because it was too big for the window. Took seconds. It was installed in less than half hour. I also set it up to my phone and Alexa in less than 10 minutes. Not sure why people have issues with it. It connected to my phone immediately. You just need to make sure you are on same WiFi network. If your not it won’t work. I have several WiFi choices in my home and for first few minutes I couldn’t get it to work and quickly realized I was on wrong network. Moment I changed it if worked. Our room cooled from 79 to 68 in half hour and I turned it on from a restaurant as we checked out. Only downside I realized is it’s a tad loud but not any louder than a normal unit. I can’t wait to go to bed tonight!

We paid extra for this unit because of the Amazon Echo (Alexa) integration and WiFi capabilities. However, we have experienced issues with the software and the tech support, although they got back with us quickly, seemed to be going through a translator and missed a couple of our questions. First the good: This unit seems to cool well and operates without an issue using the included remote and/or the built in control panel. We have not used the heat yet. That being said, let's move on to the bad: -The exhaust hose comes loose easily -The window adapter is too narrow for our window, which will require cutting -The window adapter fits the window poorly; it is too thin and requires tape and foam strips to seal properly. -The top rear filter guard grate does not snap in securely -The software Let me tell you a little about the software on this thing. The Android app works great over Bluetooth. However, the app is unresponsive when set to wifi, even when the unit is connected to wifi and available in the Amazon Alexa app. The app will refuse to start up sometimes because a background process has failed, requiring you to find the process and kill it through Settings before it will start up properly. The app always starts up in WiFi, which as I mentioned does not work, and you have to switch it to Bluetooth. Now for the Amazon integration. First time we used it, Alexa thought the temperature in the room was 205F. It believed the target temperature was 183F. If you tried to make any adjustments, it would say that the value was out of bounds. Within a couple of days, now the temperature shows nothing, just a "custom" indicator and + and - buttons that are disabled. Initial tests seem to indicate that routines work properly; however, it is unclear whether the unit powers off the fan or just powers off the compressor. The off/on switch seems to work in the Amazon Alexa app. Altogether, I am quite disappointed that I spent so much money for such a poor remote experience. Support has promised updates and that they are working on problems, but seriously, so far the experience has been pretty bad overall with the software. Rating three stars because the unit seems to function well mechanically and we at least can use Amazon Alexa to turn the unit on and off, and use routines, although setting the temperature over any WiFi method seems not to be available. But the software is far inferior to remote thermostats I purchased 5+ years ago.

Purchased to install in order building where our dogs stay. Once we installed unit it worked well for several weeks. Note: We turned on/off as needed during this time since weather fluctuated as August rolled by. By the end of August the unit was not cooling any longer. My husband determined the blower fan was not turning as it should. Product warranty is still in place therefore we contacted RolliCool. It is now November & we've completed all steps asked of us. We've called & as requested, filled out online form several times. We have still not received replacement part or unit. Now temps will be in the 20s overnight this week, our pets have no heat to keep them warm. We will be purchasing a heating unit today from our local store. $300 invested in this unit & we're forced to spend more because it stopped functioning within 2 months of purchase.

I live in the South and use the unit in my workshop. My workshop has no insulation and this year has been brutal for both heat and humidity. I needed both the cooling capability and dehumidification capability. I have not run the unit, so far, for an extended period of time to drop the shop temperature to the felt temperature of my house. However, the unit has done a good job making the shop comfortable enough to work in and has dropped the humidity significantly. The unit is well made. My only issue is that the exhaust tubing is a bit on the short side and is not insulated. The material the exhaust tube is made from seems very stout but it gets hot, though not enough to cause a fire or problem. But that means that much of that heat is returning back into the room that is being cooled. I am planning to get a piece of 8" insulated ducting to go over the provided exhaust tubing which should reduce reintroduction of heat back into the room. Remember I am using this equipment in the absolute harshest environment. Hope this helps.

The Rollicool AC model Cool208 was a great purchase and much needed in this 100 plus degree heatwave. Overall, it was easy to install. This speaks volumes since i can barely change a light bulb without assistance and I did this on my own. The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is because the window kit was challenging because the extender made it difficult because my window was too small and it covered the opening to the kit. Also, the manual did not explain what extra filter was for since the unit came with the two pre-installed and this extra filter does not look like the filters already installed so not sure if it's a replacement. Important to note: I was initially only giving this 1-2 stars for cooling since I did not realize it would take some time to cool my living room due to humidity and heat wave temperatures. Please allow several hours to feel the full effect of this ac. It was worth every penny and so convenient since I can move from room to room and use it as a heater and humidifier as well.
