TAMIYA Jeep Willys 1/4 Ton 4X4 Hobby Model Kit for ages 168 months to 1200 months

This is the 3rd time I built this kit and as always- it’s a pleasure. Good fit and after painting looks great either as a fresh new jeep or weathered and tough. It’s also fun to do a super detailed version. It can also be very simple to build so I bought one for my grandson as a first model. As simple or complex as you like.

Got this kit for my grandson because he loves jeeps and tanks. This kit is easy to put together and the instructions are easy to read and understand. Well worth the money.

Tamiya doesn’t disappoint with this highly detailed jeep. Tamiya is always a fun build - the parts always fit together and the assembly is easy to follow. I’m not a big fan of 1/35th scale - I would have preferred 1/24th, but I know this scale is popular with military models. I also wish they had a decal mockup for a MASH era jeep. I love the details on the machine gun, the shovel/axe and the other two rifles. The figure seems a bit large - I estimate he must be 7 feet tall if he were to stand up. But he does fit, and the section about gluing on the steering wheel with him in place is done for a reason. He barely fits! Still - I give Tamiya an A on this one.

2 dings against it. First is they don’t have the scale/size listed so it was a suprise to see such a small scale model. Second is there was 1 piece, the front hitch piece that would not fit without a lot of manipulation so I chose a different route. Other than that everything fit and the details are pretty good for it being so small

I am getting back into 1/35 scale military kits and I thought this to be a good restart. And can always rely on good engineering from Tamiya

Nice kit. Easy to build

Just started to build this kit now, after finishing the Tamiya Sherman tank. Tamiya kits are the best models in my opinion, and this one is no different. Well made, goes together perfectly.. As for this seller, I would definitely buy from again. Gave me a date of arrival , and it arrived by that date. Perfectly packaged and a great price.

Exciting project. Beautifully made. Great fun to assemble it. Look very realistic after completing.
