Y: The Last Man Omnibus

So after watching season 1 of Y THE LAST MAN. and THEN discovering it was canceled, I had to know the rest of the story. Prices were jacked up on the graphic novels and I wasn't willing to pay $200 for 1 graphic novel with 10 stories in it. THEN, the omnibus came out and that was great. Got it for a great price, free shipping and fast delivery. The 1st day it arrived I was astounded that it was 1440 pages of full color graphics with words. I read about 500 pages the first day and couldn't put it down. The story makes you think what if? and the horrifying implications if an event like this ever happened. So the story was great with way more detail than the show, multiple twists and turns and overall a great read. So I got to read the whole story and throughly enjoyed it. Definitely worth the money!

Just under 1600 pages and I read straight through over 3 days as I wanted to be ready for the TV premiere. One hell of a page turning story with a character cast that is easy to get invested in. Anyone who enjoys a good, adventure, post apocalypses, or sci-fi story will enjoy this. The quality of the omnibus and also top notch.

I ordered this from the seller amazing comics and their shipping was above and beyond. The omni came very safely packaged with zero damage. It was a great price and got here pretty fast. As for the book, not sure what there is to say. It's a beloved comic from the 2000s. The quality of the hardcover is quite nice. It's very heavy but by no means unreadable. The binding also seems very sturdy. I really love the writer as he later went on to do one of my favorites (Saga)

This story takes its place among the top post-apocalyptic stories in fiction. A must read that you will find hard to put down. Highest recommendation!

Awesome story but be warned the omnibus is heavy and awkward to read.

I liked the concept, execution, and inventive "What if?" story. This is a great non-super hero series.

The writing, storyline, and art warrant 5 stars. However, like other reviewers, the size and weight of the book makes reading unwieldy. You're not going to hold this in one hand and turn the pages with the other. While I appreciate having the whole series in one book, the sheer amount of material is just too much to be accommodated in one volume. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought the five individual books that make up the omnibus.

So the omnibus I received has the cover bound upside down. Doesn't matter. Paid a good price for a copy of one of the greatest comics of all time. Not too many comics have made me emotional like this one does.

You can't but love these Bookzillas. Huge comic book sized hardcovers with sleeve, quality is pretty good and as said, built like a tank. And if you get them on one of their numerous discounts, you get a lot of good quality paper and ink for your money. As for the story, it's one of the staples of Vertigo, so if you like comics, it doesn't get better than this and others from the best comic label that ever existed.

Excelente comic y llegó en excelente estado. La historia nos habla sobre un evento que mató a todos los mamíferos del sexo masculino quedando únicamente las aves, los peces y nuestro protagonista junto a su chimpancé. Veremos el viaje de nuestro protagonista y sus acompañantes en un mundo donde ya no existen los hombres y este trata de ajustarse a ese nuevo estilo de vida, viendo que para algunos sectores la desaparición de los hombres no necesariamente fue algo malo. Definitivamente recomiendo la compra y más en este formato.
