Affordable and gets the job done.
Love this drill bit set. Works well as intended with wood projects. It’s the bang band for the buck.

Eats steel for breakfast!
Great for drilling through steel. Puts my other “standard bits” to shame. Excellent product! Remember, use high pressure & low speed when drilling through steel.

Cut well
I'm happy with the quality

Nothing but the best quality
These are the best bits I have ever used! M42 is what you are looking for. Solid cobalt not cobalt coated. Even the small bits seem incredible.

Excellent Value!! **Not General Purpose Bits**
**UPDATE** Well unfortunately I have to amend my review after using these bits a little more and especially after my last experience with them. At first I thought they were decent quality for the price. I wasn’t expecting the performance or durability of a $200 set but they are supposed to be cobalt after all which you buy to drill steel and should outperform everything else except some carbide or diamond bits. These didn’t outperform Ryobi black oxide but less HSS bits am I’m questioning if these are actually cobalt bits after what just happened. I was drilling a piece of about 1/8” galvanized steel with the brand new 3/16 bit from this set while using generous amount of cutting wax and not only did it not drill through the steel but it completely burned up to the point that it’s ruined (see pics). Cobalt should excel in high heat so like I said these turned out to be a waste of money. Buy a good set of HSS bits, use them correctly and they’ll serve you better and longer than 20 sets of these. To my comrades that complained or left negative reviews about these bits; going off what most of you wrote you misused these bits therefore causing them to break or fail some other way which isn’t the bits fault. Cobalt bits are not general purpose bits and should not be used as such. They are for drilling hard metals like stainless, cast, etc. These metals are hard which require a bit made of even harder metal. This is where cobalt bits come in. If you don’t know the basics of metallurgy or 6th grade science, the harder metal gets the more brittle it is. If you drop them, bend, or torque them they will snap. So if you’re some diy’r buying these to do work around the house you’re probably gonna break them then come on here and complain about how they broke the first time you used them for hanging a flower pot or a sign on your wall that says something like “Mr Right, Ms Always Right” or something else but equally deplorable. If you do need to drill hard steel I would stick with the M35. I would only recommend M42 bits if you’re using a drill press as they are too brittle for putting into a cordless drill and trying to freehand some straight holes. Also always remember to use cutting wax or fluid, it will drastically prolong the life of your bits. So are these top quality bits that are going to last you a long time that you’re gonna take to get sharpened? No, but for the price they are an excellent value and when used properly should give you many holes!

Sharp good drill cuts
Have used several times drilling into various materials. Sharp good drill cuts.

Drilled through high-quality carbon steel bolts like butter
I needed these to remove some heavy duty carbon steel bolts with an extractor set. I went for the M42 due to the hardness of the metal. These will not break off or wear down because they're made for the same type of hard metals. Time is money and I didn't feel like spending days on this so I paid a little more knowing it would be worth it. It drilled the holes I needed easily and the bit is still in pristine condition. Thanks for making a quality product. I know I'll use these again for my automotive and other work that uses high-grade, hard metals.

Is the cost low enough to compensate for the case?
The drills themselves seem of good quality. The metal and grinds seem consistent and a good deal for the price. Make sure you compare alloys. These are made of M35 and not the (seemingly) more common M42. However, the case really is garbage. First, the latch has no space to get a finger underneath it. You'll have to pry it up with a tool or your fingernail. The bits movement is not restricted enough to keep them from coming out of their slots while closed. Mine came without obvious damage, but the flats are put in in such a way that you cannot really separate the three on each side. There's a single "axle" for each set of three. The "axle" is a single rivet on each side of each set, and one of the rivets on mine wasn't expanded at all, so it came completely loose. I was thinking that the case should be fixable by drilling a few more holes in the sides and flipping the flats over, but the angled retention divider on the fractional side would be running the wrong way. Think about how much you care about the case (and don't forget that there are 115 distinct bits, many of which are quite small, and how much you're going to rely on the case for finding the size) and take a look at how much a replacement case would cost.

Very decent set of drill bits, well made, bits are perfectly straight unlike the Bosch offering I made the mistake of buying - cheap rubbish. Take a lesson Bosch.
