Baltimore Omnibus Volume 1 Review: A Great Comic! - First off,I know there is a volume two. But I loved the ending of this collection so much I don't think I'll buy the next book. This had everything I wanted from a great comic. Compelling characters with more nuance than I expected. The good guys, bad guys, and everyone in-between were so interesting, the one thing that makes me want to read the next book would be to see what happens to a certain werewolf. I can't recommend this enough to fans of Mignola's other works. Review: Great read for all who like nostalgia - Great fun read. Made me feel like I was a kid again reading 80s stuff but far better art. Could not help to see the similarities with today’s society behavior… ex: judge duvic is hell bent on finding H.Baltimore because he is “ full of demons and possessed “ and yet he doesn’t get the fact that HB is out to kill the vampires and demon possessed! It’s almost as if he has LOST THE ABILITY TO REASON WITH ANYTHING THAT IS NOT HIS NARRATIVE OR AGENDA!!! Sound familiar?? Good read though again. I’ll be getting the conclusion in book 2 most def… !

Decent read
I found the story unique and compelling. Definitely worth checking out. Story wasn’t amazing especially in comparison to something as awesome as “Hellboy” , but it was decent overall. I recommend.

Another one knocked out of the park by Mignola, Golden & co
This omnibus graphic novel is just fantastic. I didn’t even realize it was a hardcover until I received it, because of the excellent price. 510 plus pages of post ww1 gothic horror, with the unique flavor that only Mignola can deliver. The eponymous character draws you in and keeps you hooked, and his steeled dedication to his cause in light of everything that happens is actually inspiring. I can not wait to devour the second omnibus, and then read the whole series all over again. People who say that comics are dead need to pick up something like this!

OBSESSED WITH LORD HENRY'S OBSESSION
Beautiful book. Terrific read. Follow Lord Henry Baltimore on a tenacious, blood soaked path of horror, vengeance and obsession. Thoroughly enjoyed this book to the point that I didn't want it to come to an end. Solid characterization & top-notch visual storytelling have left me eagerly awaiting the second BALTIMORE OMNIBUS. It cannot come soon enough.

Hot take
Baltimore should be made into a series of shows, and most of the derivatives from Mignola's universe should be movies mire than Hellboy. Well written and well illustrated.

Baltimore Omnibus
Great survival story. Humans VS the more powerful monsters who can be killed with just a little more effort. Solid characters and creative graphics.

Underrated series with a lot to offer!
Mignola, Golden, Steinbeck, and Stewart are a dream team on this title. Definitely worth picking up if you enjoy any of their work. But also if you just love monsters. Note, that this is not the first entry of the series despite being Omnibus Vol. 1. If you really want to dive into this world properly seek out a copy of the novel “Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire” which is NOT included as part of this collection. I’d assume that would be because it is prose, and has some narrative overlap, though it is not required reading to enjoy the comic on its own merit. Regardless both are great reads! I’m excited for Omnibus Vol. 2 and beyond!

Brutal, badass and oh so pretty, you won’t find many other books to rival the brooding gothic tale of Baltimore.
