Excellent rust preventative for guns, tools, etc.
I purchased an aerosol can of Rustlick 606 to use as a rust inhibitor for firearms and reloading equipment. The product repels moisture and leaves a thin film of oil which seeps into tiny cracks and crevices, ensuring protection in those hard to see areas. The Rustlick can be removed easily with mineral spirits, denatured alcohol or any common solvent, or it can simply be wiped off. I do use a mild solvent or degreaser when cleaning and preparing to use reloading dies, since the material might otherwise ruin primers or powder in handloaded rounds. It's just a cautionary suggestion; I've never had an issue with contamination of cartridges by Rustlick.This product performs as advertised. I have some Wilson Max Pistol gauges which showed patchy rust. A little Flitz, some elbow grease and a sparse but complete application of Rustlick 606 solved that problem. I bought the larger spray can and it will probably last me for the rest of my life.
