Plaid Clock Movement Kit, 12766 (4-Piece)

I installed this product quite some time ago. It has been a hard worker on a custom clock for at least a year now. No complications. Works as advertised.

I used this battery-powered movement to replace the electric movement in an old mantle clock. Worked like a charm!

after installing it, it quit working but we thing the battery popped out a little and had a bit of a disconnect. It's seems to be working now but we're still watching it.

Product worked as advertised and keeps accurate time. This has been in use over 6 months or longer.

I replaced the mechanism in my clock , and it was so cheaply made , I broke it just installing it. I Paid about five bucks for it. You get what you pay for..... most of the time .Next time I'll pay more for one and get what I need.

I have noticed a decline in the accuracy of some new clocks caused by poorly cut quartz crystals that actually vibrate at a high frequency that is electronically divided until it pulses in one second intervals to the run the clock. The original clock I bought was gaining 1 minute every four days (That adds up quickly, folks!) This replacement, that happened to look identical, runs at about 1 minute fast every two weeks. Again, this is all based on how a small crystal inside is precision cut. Whoever is doing these now in China, is just not being accurate enough. I have not replaced this one because it looks like any new one would not be as accurate as what has "gone before." The other clocks I have are typically good to within a second or two every MONTH. That is actually easy in this age of technology, but China appears to be getting sloppy. I don't blame at all the company who sold this to me, but I don't think anybody, really, can do anything about this. They are so inexpensive, I should have bought three, and chances are, one would have been OK.

Bought this to replace anold broken one, unfortunately the older one had larger hands and when I put them on this model it could not keep time. Once I switched out the tiny gold colored hands it came with it worked fine, but sadly the hands are hard to see.

The clock work I received didn't look just like the picture. The top of the case has an extension that can be used for hanging the clock so it doesn't fit in the clock like the old works which was just a square. Can't speak to quality or precision because I just took it out of the clock I was trying to repair.
