I have been a police officer for over 25 years and S&W are some of my favorite handcuffs and are pretty much a law enforcement and security standard.

Worst handcuffs in the world I bought these handcuffs and I put one on the see how it was and the cuff didn’t come off it turns out that the Mechanism was was broken in the cuff so I was locked in the cuff I tried everything and nothing would work so I called my local police station and they told me if I drove down there they could see what they could do for me and at this point I had the one cuff on for 4 and a half hours and my wrist was in severe pain once I got to the police station I told them what happened and we all laughed about and the officer tried his key and everything and he tried for a solid 10 minutes to get this cuff off he couldn’t Get it off so they tried calling the fire department and the fire department said the only tool they could possibly use is a grinder but they couldn’t because it would heat up the metal too much and burn my skin so the officer told me the best way to try to get them off is to pop the 2 pins at the top of the cuff and told me to buy a screw driver to try to pop the pins so I went to Home Depot and tried the screw driver but it wasn’t working and was just twisting the cuff and hurting my wrist more so at this point the cuff had been on for almost 6 hours so my last option was the er and I already had to go through all that embarrassment so I got to the er an hour later they brought me to a room and tried to get it off with everything they could think of and at this point the cuff was on for 9 hours and the cuff tightened so my wrist was bleeding and really hurt so there last option was to call the OR and brought up a tool that they use to split the spin during back surgery’s basically they wire super fancy lock cutters so the but a tongue depressor under the cuff and they cut a piece off but it was still to small to fit my wrist so they cut it again but the second time the cuff went into my wrist and bleed and then the went for the 3rd cut and third times a charm the cuff finally the cuff came off and at that point the cuff was on for 10 and a half hours but this is a terrible product and I would like a refund and some compensation for going through what I had to go through do not buy this product

I was very nervous buying these due to the reviews but I can confirm these are real the "ID already on the cuffs" is a serial number and is on there by nij standards and the damaged packaging and scotch tape is just a smith and Wesson thing they have never really been that good with packaging. there's a reason smith and Wesson are the choice of Leo's they are simply the best they work flawlessly :)

Very nice handcuffs with a good quality dulled nickle finish as you would expect on a professional grade handcuff. If you want shiny then try Hollywood or made in China. These cuffs are stamped Smith & Wesson, made in USA and have an easy to see serial number etched into them for personal identification. They were shipped quickly by the seller(JBTools) and arrived new in box with two sturdy keys.
