Champion 3000 Lb. ATV/UTV Winch Kit
I purchased this to install on my UTV. I am an owner of a Champion Generator and it has never failed me so the brand stands for good quality to me. After reading reviews for this winch and watching the price for it, I decided to go with it. It took some extra effort to run the wires for this but I got it done. The instructions are mostly for an ATV but with a bit of logic and reconfiguration on my own part, I was able to get it hooked up to my 2018 Mule SX 4x4. I didn't need to use the mounting channel due to using the the winch mount for my Mule SX. It installed perfectly to the specific winch mount for my UTV. The remote could use a bit of extra slack to mount on the Mule but other than that, it worked out great. After installation, I moved on to try it out on moving an old pine log weighing about 700 pounds and about 8 feet in length. I was unable to move this with just hooking it to the mule and in 4WD because of the weight and the log being very wet. I hooked the log to the Champion winch and began to pull it out of the woods and started to pull. The winch bogged down a little but after a couple seconds, this log finally started to move. I got the log it to a point to where I was able to hook it to the back of my Mule SX and finish moving it to where I needed it to be. Overall, this winch proved to be powerful enough for what I needed to do and I feel confident that it will suffice for the work I need to do around the house and farm. In conjunction with this, I also purchased an 8000 LB. Champion snatch block in order to add a little extra pull and be able to get things where I need them to go. I would definitely purchase this again as well as recommend it to someone looking for a decent winch for an ATV/UTV that will not break the bank.

I really like this winch
This winch appears to be well-made. I have a 2016 Honda that I stuck a HarborFreight winch on. I immediately had issues with that and did not want to go that route again. This winch is beefy and I got it with a handlebar mount which I actually put on the front rack. Installation was a breeze taking about an hour altogether. Price was fair no complaints and no issues.

longer cables would be nice but it works well
Works well but I had to extend the cables that go to the battery for them to reach and the cables to the winch barely reached.

Outstanding winch at its price point
Bought this winch for a 2002 Honda TRX350 Rancher four wheeler. It will be used primarily in conjunction with the snow plow attachment for the unit to raise & lower the blade, but will also see some use as a "log dragger." Definitely impressed with the packaging for the unit as the box was both taped and stapled to keep everything together while it was being physically abused during delivery transit. It arrived with numerous scuffs but no penetration of the packaging. Also impressed with the owner's manual. The unit may have been manufactured in China, but the owner's manual was written by someone with an exceptional command of the English language, unlike numerous other products I've purchased where the owner's manuals / instructions left me scratching various parts of my anatomy trying to figure out what they are talking about. Installation instructions were clear with good illustrations. My only "beef" would be with the physical mounting of the winch to the mounting bracket I used. The supplied bracket was not usable for my application and it was not possible to mount the winch to the mounting bracket before installing on the vehicle (as suggested in the instructions). So, one is left with the task of trying to install a 20+ lb. winch on a slope, holding it in place while trying to line up and install bolts. What would have been so much easier would be to have two of the mounting points be studs which could be pre-installed on the winch and then used to hold / suspend the winch in the proper orientation while the other bolts are installed. There is not a lot of room under one of these four-wheelers to manipulate the winch, the bolts, and the mounting bracket slope at the same time. Maybe a minor nit, but it sure was an enormous time consumer getting the winch physically attached to the mounting bracket. Other than that, no complaints and it certainly wouldn't affect whether or not I would recommend the winch. I definitely would. Great product overall.

NIce winch for use in my shed.
The Champion winch works well in my raised loft, open bay shed as a lift to raise my tractor in to the shed for repairs and service. I had been using a chain fall, but the winch is so much nicer. I power the winch with the tractor battery and keep it charged with a small 120VAC/12VDC charger which I hope to power soon from a small solar unit if possible. The cable lead lengths are good for this type of alternate use in a shed instead of direct in a vehicle. Mounting was pretty easy with some hardware on hand located at the previously reinforced lifting point used by the chain fall.

Good Enough for an ATV Snowplow
After killing my arm using a hand lever for my ATV snowplow, I decided to invest in a winch to hold the plow blade. Made a huge difference. Now, I can focus on turning, throttling, and shifting without having to hold the blade as well. My install was on a 1998 Yamaha Big Bear 350. Since the ATV itself doesn't have a winch mount, I decided the easiest place to mount was on the front rack. Two support bars on the rack just happened to be exactly the width of the holes in the mounting plate. So I drilled the rack and a backing plate and bolted the whole thing together. I did have to buy longer bolts for this setup since it added about 3/4inch of extra material. The electrical was easy to connect. Just figure out where you want the switch, mount it, run the wires to the battery and the mount locations, connect, and you're ready to go. The only slight negative is the pressure it takes to push the control buttons. They aren't hair trigger switches for sure. Push. Push it. Push it real good. And the winch will go up and down with ease.

Do a lot of snow plowing and this winch seems to fit the bill quite well. It fit in the original mounting bracket and hooks up well. I used the existing switch and solenoid. Seems well built and priced reasonably.

Replaced a 15 year old winch that had worn out. Installed easily and worked as advertised. Best non sale price I could find. (CDN Tire put it on sale the following week for $50 less than I paid, but not worth the hassle of returning!)

Was a snap to install, just replacing a pre-existing winch. Runs smooth, used it to operate a snow blade on the front of my quad. The only concern is that the cable has started fraying after one day. I will be replacing that sooner than later.

I didn’t use the controller supplied but works very good for the price. I’ve had few of these and always got me out of a jam!
