Got it for my all emcompassing migranes...
Great ice pack! I unfortunately deal with migraines especially around "that time of the month," and even after taking meds it does little to dull the pain. To get some relief I use my cold packs but the ones that I have were not that big and pretty much only covered my forehead. This would not be a big deal IF my migraines were only in my forehead, as anyone with migraines knows, they can go all over the place, even down my neck :(After my last migraine where it was all over the front of my head and in the back of my neck I decided it was time I got one that would cover a larger area so, I took to Amazon and came across this one.It has been a life saver! Not only can I cover a larger area but it can pretty much wrap around my head for those times that the headache/pain is everywhere. The other major plus about this is that it gets nice and cold but the pack itself doesn't get super hard to where you can't mold it the the areas like some of my other ice packs. It stays completely flexible to fit anywhere and keep it close to the area without loosing its form or coldness(?). (Is that a word? Meh)The seller, Vive Health has been great on communication and the item arrived fast and as expected, I couldn't be happier with this transaction or product!

Best shape. Doesn’t include cover though it says it does.
This ice pack is pretty good. I’m most impressed at how it’s not rock hard after being frozen. When you have neck and shoulder pain in those hard to reach areas and it’s not just a small spot, the traditional ice packs are a pain to use: you have to get them in just the right spot, hoping their flexible enough for the area, and once in that spot you have to figure out how to keep them there without over extending your arms (at least in my experience). I recently started going to a chiropractor and was told to ice whenever I have a headache or pain. I get headaches at the base of my skull and pain in my lower neck where it reaches the shoulders on both sides….try icing all of that at once. This seemed like the perfect solution. As some other reviewers said it is a little bit odd to fit, I think that’s mainly cause the gel is so thick and it’s not long enough to drape over the shoulders which would help keep it in place. Where it curves up to touch the neck needs to be a tad bigger for ease of use (and keep in mind I’m fairly petite 5’3” 125 lbs) so I feel like men would have an even harder time with this ice pack. The most confusing and annoying aspect is with such an odd shape for an ice pack how do you get a towel to wrap around it nicely? You don’t. On the instructions ON the frigging ice pack, step #5 says to use the cover that is included. Well, guess what NO COVER IS INCLUDED! I thought this was a fluke and since this has been the best ice pack I’ve found to handle my pain, I went ahead and ordered another one. A small piece of tissue paper was included with the ice pack, which I’m pretty sure isn’t meant to be the cover LOL. I just feel like if you’re going to make an odd shaped ice pack, say it shouldn’t touch the skin directly, and include in your own instructions to use the cover that you provide - then PROVIDE THE COVER! It’s just common sense to me. This has helped my pain and it lasts just long enough, since I’m really not supposed to use it more than 15-20 minutes. Other people have said it drips condensation as it warms up….yes it does….which is another reason why they should include a cover since that would take care of that. However, for all the qualms I just mentioned, the unique shape covering my shoulders and being able to go up my neck at the same time…I haven’t found another one quite like it that works well. So I’ll deal with the annoyance of no cover. What I found works best is I take a very light hoodie put the hood up over my head and use that as a “cover” as to not have it have direct contact with my skin and that works well. No staining on the hoodie. Although to be honest I have used it just wearing a tank top and whatever the material is it isn’t THAT cold like a normal ice pack where it’s clearly almost painful to have direct contact. I really like the material it is made out of because it does seem very sturdy. I’ve included a picture of the instructions on the ice pack so you can see what I’m talking about. If you have neck and shoulder pain and struggle with the rectangular gel packs. This is definitely worth buying. I know there’s some others on Amazon that drape over the shoulder and button in. The front so they stay in place….I’ve tried a couple of those and they’re so stiff and the buttons are so difficult to close it defeats the purpose - you end up hurting your neck more trying to close the button just to find out it can’t hit the curves of your neck anyways. This is worth the buy even if there is no cover. And as with any ice pack it melts so unless you’re going to use an ice pack while standing in a snow storm, you’re going to get condensation. Channel your inner MacGuyver and it’s worth it. Your body will thank you.

Great for miner injuries. Sore muscles and such.
Worked as described. They stay cold for 20 minutes. Exactly the time for miner injuries. Would highly recommend for that purpose. I used them with other cold packs during my recovery from knee replacement.

Don't Take My New Ice Pack!!! Love this thing!
I need another one! I like how malleable it is. When I take it out of the freezer, I can situate it however I like. It's not like a brick of ice that you have to wait for to mould it. I can roll it up and stuff it in my neck and lie on it. I can wrap it around my head all the way for a migraine and I like how the curved part can go down my forehead. That was a little intense and I could only do it for a little while. I like the material of it. It's not soggy like some get. I like how far down my back I can drape it. I move it every which way. I do wish it stayed cool longer. It will for a good 20-30 minutes. So I need another one when I get back spasms that won't go away. It's not so icy cold that it causes initial pain like some other ice packs do. But it's cold enough to decrease the inflammation. I can wear it right on my skin and it feels good. I like how far out on my shoulders it reaches. I am petite, but it does go across my upper back and drape to the front of my shoulders where I get really sore. I will buy another one because they sent me a good coupon to be a repeat customer.

Good Ice Pack For My Neck
I have used this product many times over the last several months for my neck pain. It works really good. The ice pack is very flexible and lightweight. It stays cold for at least 20 to 30 minutes which is good, but it would make it even better if the front part was longer and had some velcro or something that would hold it together so that it would stay on better.Update: August 5, 2018- The neck gel ice pack was very good while it lasted, unfortunately it only lasted about 10 months. It started coming apart at the seams and some light brown gel-like substance started coming out of it, so now it is unusable. I guess I'll have to try and find me another one.
