Great box, easy to drill and punch
This box is fantastic. Nice heavy plastic, the color is closer to tan vs grey. It has a seal around the lid, some sort of plastic foam, similar to weatherstripping. It has very good plastic flanges that will keep the seal protected from heavy rains if mounted vertically, with the hinges on the left or right. I would not use this box submerged, but bad weather should be fine. Not sure if I would trust this box in the sun. The ABS plastic is easy and fun to machine. Round holes are best drilled with a very small bit for a pilot, and then a step bit. Chassis punches work well with no cracking. Large twist drill bits will catch, I would recommend increasing sizes incrementally, or use a step bit, or a punch. I made square holes by drilling to the outline, using a hacksaw blade to cut it roughly square, and filing to size. After making the box look like swiss cheese, it seems like there is a risk of cracking between holes if you are too rough. I plan on gluing plastic angle between some of my closer components to increase long term resiliency. Did I say chassis punches work great on this? If you want perfect holes, this is the way to go. The plastic slug left in the punch is difficult to remove, I don't have a secret to this.

Well made and sturdy
I used this to house a point-of-use hot water heater for an outdoor shower fed by 40 amps of electric service with piping for cold water supply in and hot water out..Worked perfectly...Check your dimensional needs when ordering so you know that your project will fit...I'm confident my unit is well protected from the weather for the foreseable future...Great product and price.

Not as sturdy as I hoped, but it's a good size for the price
I was hoping the sidewalls would be more sturdy, like ab ABS plastic. They aren't, it pretty flexible. Not junk, and the door has a good seal, just wanted something more sturdy to last a long time. But the price was right for the size, so it'll do.

Used to protect electric fence energizer in field...working perfectly.
I bought this to mount on a 4x4 and house my electric fence energizer. The energizers aren't supposed to be outside (but seriously, who are we kidding?) so this box fit the bill to protect it, perfectly. I mounted it horizontally, so the lid clasps at the bottom. I only had to drill a couple of holes in the bottom to accommodate the cords. Very happy with the quality of the box and the solution.

Great box
I bought this to house some raspberry pi's and power supplies to provide a weather resistant enclosure for controlling Christmas lights. This box far exceeded my expectations. It is very well made with thick sides, hinges and clamps. The hole patter in the bottom easily can hold supporting boards or threaded rods to install items inside. This product included wall mounting hardware but nothing for the interior. My only complaint is that the lock ring is not big enough for a standard sized padlock, I will need to buy something smaller to lock it.

Not an outdoor electrical box!
The box is big enough to my battery, inverter, and charge controller. It appears to be waterproof. But it is not very sturdy and is not an outdoor box. The reviews say that many people use it as an outdoor electrical box, but if you check product specs it says indoor ABS. Since it has been difficult to find an electrical box big enough for my equipment I will probably keep it. But now I need a box to protect this box! But that box could be made of wood.

BUD == HiBox?
In preparation for laying out my electronic box I requested the .stp file. I rec'd the box today and its labelled as as HiBox as others have noted. What's interesting is that when I rec'd the .stp file for the from BUD the file name is "hbnbf32026.step" . Maybe the 'hb' in 'hbnbf32026' is for HiBox? I asking th rep who sent the model file but hadn't heard back yet. In all, the actual box matches the model and looks to be good quality.

Very Nice
Really great value. These boxes are very sturdy, and made from good plastic. The gasket seal makes the box completely weatherproof. Bud's available IPV air vents are a nice compliment to the box.

For the money it should include a removable interior base that one can fasten their electronics to. I made one from 1/4" plywood and painted it flat black. I used it to house the electronics for an electric gate.

Worked for the project panel box I needed. Tight seal but Light duty. Would be better with a back plate inside. Price is good.

Purchased this to house a light duty solar charge controller, and a few SLA batteries. It is solid, and does a good job keeping moisture out.
