Sehnsucht is the second studio album by German band Rammstein, now available for the first time as a limited edition 2xLPs pressed on 180 gram black vinyl remastered in 2015 by longtime the Rammstein sound engineers. Review: Best album - Thank you desertcart Review: An Affordable Copy Of One of RAMMSTEIN's Greatest CDs - Ordering this at the $13 price range had me believing it was going to be encased in a cheap CD promo sleeve, but for what it's worth the multi-fold packaging with band art included made it worthwhile. It's a good replacement for the original jewel case version that was sold in retail stores many years ago.

Rammstein's follow up album does not disappoint!!
After listening to Rammstein's debut album Herzeleid, I was almost expecting Sehnsucht to fall short in comparison, I was definitely wrong! Once again Rammstein's unique sound comes through in this album. There is quite a bit more use of synthesizers and keyboards in Sehnsucht, but that is definitely not a bad thing, the use of these instruments makes all the songs on this album sound so innovative (despite having been used perfectly on Herzeleid already). The songs on Sehnsucht are: Sehnsucht, engel (featuring German pop singer Bobo), tier, bestrafe mich, du hast, bück dich, spiel mit mir, klavier, alter mann, eifersucht and küss mich (fellfrosch). There are also 2 bonus tracks that are not listed on the back of the album, and they are the English versions of engel and du hast. Although some of the original meaning of the songs are lost in translation from German to English (which is a shame), I still think it is very cool to hear Till sing in English, and I believe these tracks are exclusive to the North American release of Sehnsucht. There is a great combination of songs on this album. Tracks such as sehnsucht, bestrafe mich and eifersucht are heavy songs that really bang. Other tracks like engel, du hast and bück dich start off much lighter and full of synthesizers, only to lead into heavy riffs and pounding drums. There is also a track called klavier which is very slow and somber, but it is extremely powerful, and I definitely recommend this song! If you are a fan of Rammstein's Herzeleid album and we were weary of buying Sehnsucht, don't be, it is an amazing follow up album for an amazing band!!

Glad it showed up
This is probably the 5th time in 25 ish years that I will have bought this album, it's my favorite rammstein album. If you're reading reviews to see whether or not it's legit, yes its exactly the same as you would have bought in the store 20 years ago.

Great album - will definitely wake up your speakers
I've had it before - this one was a replacement. Great mashup between hard rock and techno. One of a kind

Fantastic CD but...
I absolutely love Rammstein and their music, especially this album. However when I received my album it was a little bit broken but nothing abnormal. I've ordered CDs through Amazon before and there is always a chance of the case being broken or slightly damaged during transit. Other than a very minor break in the case the CD is in very good condition and I would definitely order it again.

You'll be "Longing" for more!
Rammstein's second album is a step above their debut! Pack with the intense vocals of Till Lindemann and the odd techno-metal mix of guitars, drums, and piano, this volcanically charged cd will MAKE you head bang! "I don't know German" you say, not to worry the sound of the songs are enough to keep you hooked. this album was my first Rammstein exposure and it was good enough to make me take a german course just to have a better view of the songs(yes i know there are translations). Sehnsucht (meaning "longing") is the initial tune that introduces you to the rest of the album, which steadily gets better and better and better! Listen for creepy sounds, vocal manipulations, and perhaps the catchiest sounding songs ever in songs like "Engel", "Spielt mit Mir" and so on. And as a special treat keep your cd player on after song number eleven for an English track! This hidden song, called "Stripped", is just to damn cool to ignore. Definitely a revolutionary album with amazing potency. DO NOT MISS IT!
