Get larger size.
If you're purchasing for a teen or young adult - get the next size up. I got the smaller size and regret it. I think the sizing on these are off.

What I thought
The gloves had no plastic type of smell when they arrived, although I would not recommend keeping them in hot weather. They look like the type of material that will peel or melt in Southern weather.I love the carrying case and my hands still felt some ventilation with handwraps on more than other gloves I've used. So far so good.
