Good Quality, Fair Price
I’ve been wearing Hanes underwear since I was a kid back in the 1960’s. A recent purchase was disappointing - bad quality, high price. I decided to try these Fruit Of The Loom underwear. They fit well, and are a quality product at a fair price.

An underwear brand staple where people buy it out of pure convenience.
I purchased this Fruit of the Loom Men's Basic White Brief to wear and it has been great after long years of ownership. Originally purchased in 2015, this brief has lasted practically 10 years and still going. While there were some rips and tears, and thinning from normal wear and tear (mind you 10 years of ownership), for the price you pay, it rivals to that of name brand ones that cost more and if not rip and tear a bit faster than this (based on cotton briefs). The Fruit of the Loom has been a staple brand for undershirts and underpants and I've used them for many years if I just want something plain. It is comfortable, convenient and it fits just right because of the elastic waist band. The fabric they use, I wouldn't say is thick, but what you would expect as an underwear that actually is made out of 100% cotton and not some polyester. Yes, Polyester feels more comfortable and soft, however, it does give static after every wash and drying cycle, and it is also flammable. I like that is also tag free so there won't be any irritation in the back and I can ear it at ease.

Hasn't caught up to Jockey but ever closer to a Photo Finish!
Ten years ago I would have ordered men's briefs with the briefest agenda: anything BUT Fruit of the Loom. Then in 2016, when Amazon's price for a 7-pack became too ludicrously low to ignore (close to a buck a brief), I ordered them with next to nothing to lose (financially speaking). Pleasant surprise. They felt good (firm but not tight) and they stayed good--not like the previous "disposables" that were loose and baggy after the first wash. This couldn't be the same company! It became apparent that Fruit of the Loom's fire-sale prices were not due to the company's need to unload an excess supply of cheap, poorly made underwear: it was an "enticement" to consumers like me, with pre-millennial memories, to give them a second-chance. I must say that it worked. Even with the mark-up in price (now between two and three bucks a pair), these are the best value I'm seeing in men's underwear, offering the best quality at the lowest price.I'm not saying they're the best (I'm writing this a stone's throw--or a 25-minute walk--from Jockey International's headquarters). But today's Fruit of the Loom is not the old company--and for one major reason. A couple of years into the present millenniam Fruit of the Loom was in bankruptcy when America's famous (as well as principled and admired) investor Warren Buffett came to the rescue, buying the entire company for just under a billion dollars. Buffett is a guy who sees value in brands, and Fruit of the Loom was a brand the investor/ philanthropist saw as essential to America's character. So it should be no small wonder that guys everywhere are once again entrusting their intimate selves to an old, newly reinvigorated, American brand.
