It covers every aspect: Architecture, dance, drama, furniture, graphic design, metalwork, painting, photography, pottery, printing, sculpture, typography, et al. It covers the major players: Josef Albers, Marianne Brandt, Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropious, Gertrude Grunow, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Gerard Marcks, Hans Mayer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It is copiously illustrated throughout with original photographs. I bought the smaller book in the ‘Bibliotheca Univeralis’ edition which is the compact version (6” x 8”, 150 x 200mm) of the larger book. I don’t know how Taschen publish these books at such reasonable cost, but long may they continue. This is great value for money. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unreservedly recommended.

Essential Reading
I am going to visit the Bauhaus later this year so I thought this would prove to be essential reading. It arrived on time and in perfect condition and was packaged in pvc and cardboard.

Simply put; an incredible account of the Bauhaus design school movement. Generously illustrated throughout. Well worth a read for anyone interested in this extraordinary episode/period in Germany's history. Big thumbs up!!

This is an excellent introduction to the development of the Bauhaus movement describing the philosophy, the artefacts and the personalities of the movement. I will be sending further copies as present to various folk who have an interest in industrial design
