Romanoff Caviar Black Lumpfish, 2 oz, Whole

I've purchased this a number of times and have not been disappointed. I can't say what sturgeon caviar tastes like, but for a less pricey alternative this suits me. A little salty. I try it on unsalted crackers atop a dollop of sour cream. I will be purchasing more.

I will NEVER buy Romanoff Caviar Black Lumpfish again. The pearls aren't black, they're green. There's a watery bottom in the jar - green, of course. And while this was always salty it now is unpleasantly, overly, salty. And I am a person who likes salt! This used to be a good, cheap caviar product - the pearls were black, there was no watery bottom and the saltiness was acceptable. The product has changed and very much for the worse. Buyer beware.

Good for the price. A little more fishy taste then higher quality caviar.

Yes, I know this is the caviar that we're taught to hate because it's salty and fishy, but when used properly it's a wonderful product. I love mixing it with sour cream and enjoying it on a toasted English muffin with smoked salmon and a little lemon - yum! Or try mixing it with sour cream and then topping a baked potato with it, with a nice dollop of butter and you'll be in heaven. Or mix some into a creamy butter sauce with some spaghetti, it's great. Lots of umami, and much better than it's reputation would have you believe.

The only thing that comes to Mind right now is “ OHHHH WOWWWW “ this Caviar tastes so good , it is fresh and just enough Salty and the Quality is Great and yes the Price is GREAT as well . It was totally Sealed , If you have a small Gathering or a Dinner Party get this Caviar People will think you are serving a very , very Expensive Caviar . I also got me a pack of the French Mini Pancakes , they are for Hors d’oeuvres and oh yes Caviar which I used my Caviar on . I Recommend this Caviar for yourself or as a Gift Idea for your Friends and like I said Small Get Together’s or as Hors d’oeuvres at your next Dinner Party

Its not bad for this price but the caviar is low quality and really salty. Eating it with lightly salted crackers makes it even saltier. I wasn’t expecting anything great considering that usually caviar is expensive and this wasn’t. If you want to try it go ahead cause it’s not that bad for the price but just know that the caviar is low quality and salty. Overall not sure if I’ll ever buy it again but maybe I will considering that Amazon doesn’t really have much good options when it comes to caviar.

I'm pregnant, and I don't know why, but for some strange reason, I woke up caviar cabaret even though I've never tried it in my life, hahaha... it's good, just a little salty for my taste, but it's worth it, it's very cheap.
