This is the first bar I personally have gotten for myself, and after moving into my place and being blind I found that the sliding door was stressing me out and making it hard for me to sleep at night. I picked this because of the positive reviews and after getting it I was able to set it up with in minutes and feel so much less stress, however, I would have liked for there to be a twin to the flat end vs just removing the hook. like another reviewer said the hook part for under the door is not mettle. personally I don't use it for that, so I can't say if it is strong or not, but I do like it is easy to use, and works for my needs. I give it 5 stars because I feel better now that I have it, and for the price I feel its s worth the money.I could see getting another one but maybe for use inside or for a door with a handle and not a sliding door, but that is in the future. you know what is going to be best for your needs, just know that this is what it looks like, sounds like and is at a fair price.

We are using it to reinforce a steel door. We are adding a ball mount to the door to lock the device to and a section of non skid carpet on the floor to prevent slide . Door lock handle not near as strong.. We are adding a commercial/agricultural door handle above twin locks to help pull door inward if stuck say from fire or other exposure. On Amazon also is door frame wax t5hat is excellent for smooth non stick inner frame. Do not skimp on door hardware. Its life or death in so many ways. I should do a video.

A good strong looking doorstop I like the black colour stands out, and looks like a Secure option to anyone looking in from the outside.

It just slides on the floor if the person shoved it a few times it would be open enough for them to get in. Waste of money

I live in a shared house. People were coming into my section, even though I asked them not to, while I was sleeping. Now, I just position this device under my door knob, give the bottom a little tap in with my foot, and that door does NOT OPEN. It is strongly built, easily put in place and removed, with no damage to the floor or woodwork. I am very satisfied!!

This product does what it needs to do. So far have not had any issues, and it does make it difficult to open the door from the other side - you just need to find the perfect height / angle between your floor and door handle. Once I got that, I no longer touch the height adjustments
