One Year Review
I've had this microphone since June of 2021, so its been over a year now and its still going strong as one of the best desktop microphones I have ever owned if not, the best. Sure there's the upgraded model, The HyperX Quadcast S, however for me at the time it was a tad out of my comfortable price range I was willing to spend on a microphone but the standard Quadcast is perfect for everything ranging from just chatting with friends to streaming with actually decent, dare I say, professional audio quality without any sort of troubleshooting out of the box. I'm not sure if the upgraded model would have suited me better but the standard model had already blown me away from both its sound and build quality. Its decently built and can withstand some abuse (my delivery person threw the microphone across my front porch to my door without care and it was perfectly fine). The stand it comes with is fine by itself and if you have the room on your desk is definitely a good option for holding the Quadcast however it can be mounted onto most microphone arms if you need to do so. I personally have my quadcast on a super cheap mounting arm and I have found it doesn't affect the overall noticeable sound quality. The only thing I can really say is a negative about this microphone is that after over a year of constant everyday use, the red lights do seem to be dimming in some spots of the microphone but it does have to be dark in the room to really notice it, besides its just cosmetic anyway so its really not an issue. I have found that a pop filter isn't entirely necessary for this microphone as the noise cancelation of most software combined with this microphone is more than enough to negate that annoying popping sound. For example, programs like Discord will completely negate not only popping but pretty much all background sounds with this microphone if you have it setup correctly, but things that use raw input like OBS, Voicemod, ect. would definitely benefit for having at least a pop filter of some sort but it doesn't need to be any high end filter by any means. Overall I would give the HyperX Quadcast a 9.7/10 for build quality, sound quality, ease of use, and the really cool looking aesthetic.

Worth the investment - Great Mic
Just opened the box today (1/1/2026)! This mic is great! Tested it using a Zoom recording. Going to produce a podcast with my brother. I was very happy with the sound and the sleekness of the mic it self. Very pleased

The best microphone in my opinion.
This microphone is really useful, you can mute the mic just with one tap and the quality of the audio is really good for everything, podcast, videos, or meetings.

Does the Job and does it well
Pros: -Incredibly easy to use; literally plug and play, with the mute being very visible -High Reliability; Had zero performance issues. Friend who got it had some issues with audio out of the box, but got it replaced in a week by HyperX. Since then, no issues (popping, robot, static, drops, etc.) -Superior Performance to virtually all other USB Condenser Mics; This may change in the future, but as of right now, you can't get a better USB Microphone on the market. Cons: -Expensive; No way to beat around the bush, this will likely be your most expensive purchase on a mic unless your an audiophile and/or professional (in either case, you wouldn't be here reading this review.) -Better Alternative Options; I'm referring to traditional XLR Condenser Mics, which are more price competitive, but require more setup (Phantom Power, Pre-Amp, USB converter or Sound Card, etc.) and audio knowledge. Part of what you're paying for here is convenience. Considering my last several mics were XLR Condenser, having the complexity and issues associated I decided this is more my speed. -Single Color Scheme; This may bother some or none, but having a red mic that literally glowing red when in use mayb clash with some peoples' setups. Maybe you don't like the color red? Maybe you have an all green battlestation? Either way, I know HyperX is all about their red, but having different color options would've been nice. Overall, if you're in the market for a great sounding easy to use USB Microphone, look no further. Everything about this is quality (metal chassis, metal stand, soft touch mute) and it looks the part. You are paying a small premium for quality AND convenience, but for me it was/is well worth it.

Good choice for streamers
switched from my Snowball to this i would have liked a bit more of a change for quality for the price I paid but it is still a decent improvement, clear audio when paired with proper sound controls. a solid weight and built really well. diverse arm swivels which are good for changing it from studio mode to streaming mode. color is fine especially with the dimmer red. great choice for streamers.

The HyperX QuadCast is an ultra-credible USB mic. Was on superb price during Ramadan offers. Here's what you need to know: 1. Versatility and Quality: - The QuadCast offers great response and is easy to use. - It's ideal for podcasting, streaming, or any vocal-centric application. - The red lights indicate when you're live, making it user-friendly. 2. Technical Details: - Dimensions: 21cm (without stand), 25cm (with stand) - Weight: 254g (without mount or stand), 364g (total) - What We Like: Easy setup, clear when muted, decent quality - What We Don't Like: USB-only, slight sibilant boost, added light 3. Sound Quality Metrics: - Sound Quality: 9.5/10 - Bass: 9.5/10 - Midrange: 9.7/10 - Highs: 9.0/10 - Durability/Build Quality: 9.0/10 - Value: 9.0/10 - Design: 9.0/10 4. Overall Impression: - The QuadCast is a reliable choice for content creators and gamers. - While it's not for professional recording, it delivers excellent performance within its price range. The Blue Snowball iCE is an entry-level USB mic with its own unique charm: 1. Design and Looks: - The spherical design resembles a retro radio, making it stand out. - It's compact and comes with a solid metal stand. 2. Sound Quality and Quirks: - Crystal-clear quality for both speaking and singing. - It has a single polar pattern (cardioid) and lacks additional modes. - Not ideal for extreme closeups or handling distance. 3. Pros and Cons: - Pros: Mid-century aesthetics, great sound (with tweaking), portable - Cons: Limited polar pattern, not suitable for extreme closeups 4. Comparison with HyperX QuadCast: - The Snowball iCE is budget-friendly, while the QuadCast offers more features. - Both serve different purposes: the QuadCast for streaming and podcasting, and the iCE for entry-level recording. In summary, choose the HyperX QuadCast if you want versatility and professional-grade performance. Opt for the Blue Snowball iCE if you're on a tight budget and need a straightforward USB mic. Each has its niche, so consider your specific needs when deciding. Remember, the right microphone depends on your use case and preferences! 🎙️🎧

The microphone sounds good, no weird noises, rattling or anything. Although I recommend a pop filter, the built in one is not bad, but sometimes when pronouncing p's and s's you hear a pop. I use it on a cheap microphone stand and it works great. On the top of the mic you have the mute button, there is no click, you just hover to lightly tap it. When the mic is muted, the red light turns off. I have not tested the different sound settings knob on the back. There is a also a audio jack on the back. I recommend this microphone, using it almost daily past 6 months.

The microphone is very good. When I recorded myself speaking I was shocked at how good the quality of the sound was. The microphone has red LED's which aren't too bright or too dim which is great and indicate whether the microphone is muted or not. The mute button is quite sensitive so it only requires a very light tap of the finger to mute/unmute (it's made to recognise that a finger is touching it rather than another object, like how a touchpad works). It also contains a gain control, a headphone jack and a very long wire which doesn't tangle as easily as most wires I use due to it's braided exterior. The shock mount works very well. The four audio patterns work very well for what I want to use them for. HOWEVER: The microphone does not come with a bass controller. I did not take that into account when I bought the item (but I'm still very satisfied with the product). The microphone also doesn't come with Minecraft. Sorry to disappoint you all. Jokes aside, this microphone is really good and I recommend it to anyone hoping to record their voice for any reason.
