Does it burn the skin??

Not this one at least. I have a story those those who don't think an LED flashlight can do this.....I do have another light that burned me pretty bad one time. Manker E14: small light unregulated 1000 lumens on high and a copper head to wick heat from the driver. Second degree burn; I had a gnarly blister for a few weeks after that.

If you were standing on the tarmac, would this flashlight illuminate the wings of a Boeing 777 (about 130 feet away and 10 feet elevated)?

No. Only B757’s and 767 will illuminate. The 777 has a non reflective coating.

Is the ProTac HL3 made in the USA? The spec chart claims that to be its origin, but other streamlights are imported

For a replacement switch try a search using your specific model number. Opticsplanet had one for my Streamlight 88061 ProTac at $5 bucks and it was the entire lower section of the flashlight, not just the switch itself. If you are beyond the warranty or just rather not bother with all the mailing back and forth this is an easy solution.

Does the remote switch come with it?

Yes it comes with the remote switch. It's pretty much only way one can get one..as I have the handheld ProTac HL-X and hoped I could throw in a mount and buy the remote switch, but found can't. Or rather could order replacement remote switch from Streamlight but won't work with handheld.
